I almost shed man tears. God dammit.

I actually own the comic where Cyborg Superman debuted back in the 90s, so yes, I'm glad to see this.

Hmm. That got to me a bit more than I would've liked it to.

You are all welcome.

Hmmm, it looks like Storm Control= Henry Bendix. Nice.

Nah, Storm Control is Bendix. Just look at his costume, it's Bendix with an ARGUS helmet on.

That's quite a void. It'll be a hard act for whoever to follow, I'm surprised they're, y'know, replacing everyone rather than one or two and leaving some existing hands. Must be a direction change.

Agreed.

I actually enjoyed Tomasi's GLC more than John's main GL pre-DCNU

While I didn't enjoy it more than Johns, Tomasi's work was still excellent imo. I mean, it's because of Tomasi that Guy Gardner has the exposure he has nowadays.

Him being second only to Johns is no insult.

What was so good about Tomasi's run? Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of him as a writer, but his GL run felt so awkward and was quite boring at times.

Constantine looks promising.

Good focus on characters, I felt. Kyle and Guy had a lot of nice moments together, stuff on the Soranik/Kyle relationship, and such.

I did definitely like the Gibbons stuff before even more, granted, but that's largely because of the wider range of villains.

Pretty much what you said. Guy and Kyle came a long way under Tomasi's pen, and like I said, Guy Gardner is what he is today largely because of what Tomasi did.

He had some decent moments with Guy and all, but the concepts and execution were average at best.

Rumor has it Venditti is taking over a GL title. Now he has some good execution. Demon Knights has been wonderful under him. Much better than Cornel.

I'm curious as to what seems average about it to you.

Justice League #17 preview

Looks like it will be a top finale to the event and no Shazam (I think?) this time so Ivan Reis can go crazy.

I think it's all about the direction and threats/concepts they are using. Nothing Tomasi did did anything for me. Now, I think Johns had a big hand in that, but he could pull it off a bit better, IMO. Here is the rumored list of new GL writers.

Joshua Hale Fiakvov, Robert Vendetti, Justin Jordan and Keith Giffen. All good choices, IMO.

Honestly, what I want to see is a triple threat: Vulko with the trench vs orm with his army vs arthur with the ocean-life all going head to head.

All right, even if I disagree.

Superboy 17 H'el on Earth ...

Spoiler:
Me liked Diana punching Kara. Hoping Miss Superman beats the living shit out of the idiotic misguided teen in Supergirl #17 Also liked a little more exposure to the alien blowing the horn.SupermanXWW just went global. LoL@Retarded news lady. Is this Channel 52's first appearance? Seems like the superhero TMZ.

Dan Didio apologized!? 😱

He pretty much had to, tbh. Things would only get worse otherwise.

The first step is admitting you have a problem, as the saying goes.

Looks like Majestic destroyed an entire country once. He's back in Team 7. Nice issue all around.

I hope the Wonder Woman vs Supergirl confrontation isn't cut short, and we get to see a bit more of the fight.

Also interested to see how:
Wonder Woman vs Orion (where I'm quite sure Wonder Woman will use her 'God' form)
and
Orion vs Superman goes.
(and of course, later, Wonder Woman vs Captain Marvel, maybe even Black Adam vs a few folks)

The hierarchy is starting to shape up a bit more.

I finally finished Death of the Family. I think Scott Snyder is a genius. I loved the series - the tone was deep, dark, and menacing. The Joker was much creepier than usual, but I appreciated the changes. And I think the art fit the tone of the story perfectly 👆

If the rumors are true that Court of Owls and Death of the Family are just prequels to him writing a Riddler focused story that has the same greatness as those two, I'm going to very very pleased.
