I can't reassure you on that whole lost.Stormwatch and Demon Knights are probably going to be on the next wave of cancelations judging by their low sales. Dial H and Phantom Stranger are both doing better than them, and in turn aren't in the safe zone, but I suspect have a bit more time.
JLDark, Animal Man, and Swamp thing are doing pretty good and are safe for now but they're not guaranteed long-haul.

It's been my favorite book so far.
Damn I would have thought iconic series like Animal Man and Swamp Thing were here for the long term. I mean, as long as they have dark line I'm sure they'd keep publishing these ones.
Also, quick question guys: seeing as I am basically jumping right into the DC universe for the first time, would you recommend reading superman/ac/batman/dc/green lantern/wonder woman/the flash/aquaman before reading justice league or would I be ok jumping straight into justice league? I subscribe to all of them but have been buying the trades to catch up with the older issues, so i was thinking of reaing volumes 1 of all of those, and then volume 1 of justice league.
Also, what do you guys do when you have those big crossover events? Do you buy the issues for all of the titles involved, or can you sitll understand what's going on by only reading the issues for the titles you subscribe to/read regularly?

Johns is leaving GL (sad but he gave his all to the franchise and I don't think anyone could ask for more).
Buuuuut he stays on JL and AQ (Yeeeeeeeeees)

Yeah, but still whoever takes over has huge shoes to fill. He practically made GL an entire new line/franchise and up to Blackest Night at least (IMO) GL was tops.
On a different note, I don't know if you caught up on the small refferences to the Aquaman continuity in JL 15.
Check the two page spread (the one where two Atlanteans fire at WW).
The soldiers on the left wear PAD era armor and their shields end to a shape similar to AQ's PAD harpoon.
Also the Drift guys (the ones who attacked Shin) wear a variation of AQ's blue costume.

If things stay where they are sales-wise, I'm sure they'll have long runs, but they've never been some of the always-there titles.

It's almost never a requirement to read everything, but it does depend on how the writers handle it. Sometimes I read the main series plus my normals. Sometimes I take a break from all involved and then wait for the trades. Sometimes I just follow my main ones and pick up any changes from context.
