Well, for one, DC said it was a "SOFT reboot". Not a totally new reboot. So, they kept some of the old, sprinkle with some new.
Q said they haven't changed ANYTHING. Pretty much all the characters have been changed in one way or another. Midnighter is a completely different character for example, the ENTIRE DC continuity has been changed. We have new Jay Garrick, Dr. Fate (Who is a new character), Flash's Rogues, Blackhawks (COMPLETELY new), Birds of Prey characters, Swamp Thing, new characters in I, Vampire, new young characters in Superman, Batman, Constantine, etc...
So, yeah, their is a lot of new shit.

I just finished reading Supergirl. Wonder Woman beats her, saying they're closely matched in strength and speed, but she's much more experienced. Superman does better against H'el than anybody has done against him, again [he even brings him to his knees, and this is in Supergirl's own title, where she couldn't even move him], until he is hit out of Earth's orbit.
