There's still a lack of consistency when it comes to Superman, though, like Jake said. It's just more glaring when you add someone like Diana in to the mix.
👆
I'm open minded enough to sit back and enjoy the ride with Clark/Diana, much like I did with other "radical" changes such as Jean Paul Valley becoming Batman, Superman dying, Wonder Woman getting depowered, etc.
For someone like Superman, especially him, there should be a clear line of rapport with each writer where they reveal "Okay, here's the theme of my upcoming run" and get everyone in the know so it all meshes well and builds upon each other. It doesn't need to crossover, but they do need to coincide with one another for important reveals and development such as Superman having a romantic interest.
Having one writer, arguably the "superstar" or "main eventer" in the company handle a relationship with Clark and Diana, and having others more or less handle it with Clark coming off as butt hurt over being friendzoned by Lois in the first place just comes off as inconsistent.
Now, if the intent was to make Clark more relatable by being in a relationship because of want and still harboring feelings for "the one that got away", okay, that's cool. But that's not the impression I get from the line as a whole.

I think they were doing that, because in an live interview with Diggle, he said they were (All superman writers) coming together and planning a big epic Superman story, which probably won't happen, since he walked away. And seeing as Lobdell knows what Pak is doing in his run, Superman line seems more organized.

That's because that's not what's happening. Clark and Lois were making googley eyes at each other in Diggle's Action, and the latest issue of Superman, while still featuring Diana, was just...
Superman wouldn't date a woman if he was actively interested in someone else. He's too decent a person to be that much of a ****.
Here is John's last GL issue! I won't say I'm gonna miss you, but you built a huge cosmo/GL mythos that was pretty good.

If Superman is in his mid-twenties, then Batman's gotta at least be in his 30s, even with the reboot.
DC does seem to be making the disparity in their age a little large than it was before the reboot. Probably because Superman is still growing, whereas Bruce is basically, well... Bruce.
In a couple of years, I expect them to be normalised.
Johns royally ****ed up the Aquaman timeline, though.
