The GA book is good (since Lemire took over), but man I was let down by the new Count (one of my all time faves).
Lemire said he wouldn't be a trained fighter like his pre DCU origin, he relies again on obviously located easily dispatchable tech and he looks like a hangover hipster with a broken blue tooth. Meh.
Also great news for the Others.
This is the first time I think that 2 Aquaman books will be on the stands month after month (the only other time was during PAD's run with the excellent Phil Jimenez Tempest mini)
This is by far the greatest era in the characters history.
I'm in of course, but I would prefer for AQ to be in this book continually (even if he is not featured so prominently)
Just read the Phantom Stranger comic and dang it was enjoyable! Can't wait for the next one! Green Lantern was also very good, I think Relic might have something to do with all the Lantern's Corps losing their powers for a little while. Didn't get Pandora's #1 cause it was sold out but I got them to put it on order for me!

So over the last three days, I've read through Flashpoint (main and tie ins). Not a bad event altogether, though I did have some complaints, like the way the actual "merging" happened and Pandora's place in it all was kept really bloody vague.
The Frankenstein mini was good, as was the Outsider one. Really felt like some things could have been wrapped up a little better, though.
Anyway, all in all, was a decent read, and I definitely feel like Johns wants Arthur and Diana to be somewhat equal. Bedard also did a solid job with Aquaman, I thought.

That's what I was saying dude regarding Aquaman and Wonder Woman. Johns consistently puts them on comparable levels.
And I agree with you on the whole merging mystery and hope Trinity wars sheds some light on how it happened.
He did seem pretty intent on conveying Atlantis and Themyscira as rivals, with Arthur and Diana a microcosm of that.
While that might make Atlantis less of a power than they were Preboot, they were still strong enough to attack the surface, and if making Arthur a rival of Diana in a way is what Johns is doing (at least strength/durability wise), then I can't really complain.
I always wanted Aquaman to be shown as being either just below, or on the level of the likes of Diana and J'onn, so I hope things keep going.

Same here.
I'd be fine with slight edge to WW on land and AQ underwater, and I believe Johns might write smthing like that given the chance. Maybe even in Trinity Wars going by that promo spread that had AQ and WW fighting.

Yeah, I was wondering why they'd be fighting. It looks like, even though Clark and Diana will side with each other, they're going to be against the likes of Arthur and Barry. Given that Johns has shown Arthur and Clark to be at least friendly (as opposed to just teammates), I wonder what might split them apart.
Or is Mera going to argue with Diana and stop Arthur from playing with his friend... mmm

He also made Mera comparable to Wonder Woman during Blackest Night as well.
Yup. 👆
Speaking of, I had a question about this very thing: Does Barry remember preboot DC? He said he remembered Flashpoint, but I didn't see him mention the preboot universe.

That would be awesome. After all, we know certain 'key characters' still retain a full working knowledge of pre-Flashpoint DC. I wouldn't think it would be too hard for Johns to work-in a scene where Pandora, PS, or The Question passes on knowledge of said continuity to a 'lesser' character...
who would those key characters be?
