The Arcane and Black Hand villain issues were very enjoyable(especially the former.) The Ra's and Dial E issues were also worth reading.
Aside from that, apparently Marvel stole the idea for Wolverine's sideburns/chops from H'el as well:

I like how it was addressed that Anton was one of the most powerful beings in the universe. Homage to his Pre-Flashpoint self?

I can see what your trying to do.........but fail.

Anyone else really hate these villain issues? Feels so ridiculously forced and ultimately pointless story-wise.Also, phuck DC for cancelling most of my favorite reads.
Some issues are actually full issues that tell a full story though. The Anton issue for example is wonderful, probably my favorite one
The month would have been better had more planning went into it, or they spread it out over a couple issues for one villain (as I said before, the Trigon issue would have benefitted from another issue). It feels like most of them are just hastily thrown together and tried to rush through too much history.

I completely agree with the first part of what you said.
Most of them I start reading, get two pages in, and then think "meh, I don't give a shit about this" and never look at it again.
Originally posted by CogitoAnother way they could have went, is with these obviously quickly thrown together issues, is actually tie them into the event instead of trying to have some crappy origin story.

Like actually show them doing things during the events of Forever Evil.

So far 40 issues have been released, and only about 8 of them were good enough for me to want to reread. So personally, that's like an 80/20 ratio: 20% of the comics are enjoyable, while the other 80% are pure shit. There's really no grey area with these comics.
Like you said, this 'event' is just way too rushed. If the majority of the villain issues were at least close to the Arcane issue in terms of enjoyability, this would ultimately be one of the best events in DC's history, imo... But unfortunately, that couldn't be further from the case.

Here is a look at the Doomsday one.
