DCU gets remade - all books are #1s, Geoff Johns and Jim Lee on Justice League, more

I really hope we get a good reason why Aquaman can't control them, but other than that, it looks good.

Can't wait for NG after Lights out. Jordan will explore the cosmos a lot more and that's a good thing. Plus more focus on Kyle and the entities.

No, but the writing of that scene was pretty bad. I mean, his reaction almost made it seem like he didn't know it would heal until Pandora told him so (or at least that's how I interpreted it). That's pretty dumb. Also kind of weird for him to have a beast HF if he has a big ole' scar on his face.
I'm sure he knew it would heal. You can't tell me that in 40,000+ years of constant battle, Savage has never lost an appendage before. I took Pandora's comment more as a "oh stop whining" kind of thing. /shrug

The existing scar is contradictory in a funny way, though.

Heh, so she still has feelings for steve and superman.

Can't imagine how that would end.

mmm

Preview of Ultraman's origin.

Hm, interesting few pages in that preview:

I wonder if the "being that destroyed Krypton" is the same being that destroyed Earth 3, and forced the CSA to flee from there?

It better be Superboy Prime.

I finally got some time and read the new He-Man series #1-6 from 2012 and #1-6 from 2013. I also saw that there is a DCU and MOTU crossover. Are they now a part of the DCU? I enjoyed the new series tbh and hope to see them as a part of the DC Multiverse. It would be also awesome to have Silver Hawkes, Bravestarr (always though Stampede is Horde Prime), Battlecats, Galaxy Rangers, Defenders of the Earth, Captain Planet and Turtles comic that take place in the DC Multiverse^^.
Nostalgia has hit me^^.

I'm pretty sure JL will job in the crossover.
Same writer for the main He-man series, also writes the crossover.
And it seems it might be canon, so I expect some interesting things to say the least...

Also Aquaman 24 preview

Awesome as always.
Nice image of AQ being a king and the preview confirms that we get the answers to the whole Dead King deal.

IDW has Transformers right now, and they're doing a rather good job of it! So don't expect them in.

Transformers is shit.

More than Meets the Eye is fantastic, and Robots in Disguise is pretty darn good too.

JL Dark 24 preview and interview with DeMatteis.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/2013/10/21/justice-league-dark-comic-book-series/3141669/

He talks about Forever Evil, Blight (I expect it to be one heck of a mystical themed crossover) and of course teases about the SEA KING baby!

"And then in Dark No. 26, Constantine and his allies travel to an ancient underwater realm never seen before in the DC Universe. They'll run into Sea King, the Earth 3 version of Aquaman whom DeMatteis describes as pivotal to the story line but is a very different kind of guy, and a twist involving him is "a great one."

Cannot friggin wait to see this character in action.

Here is the very first page of this week's JLA:

Note that every one of those heroes were directly shown, and/or visited by J'onn at some point during the issue.... Except for Aquaman.

That said, I think Arthur might be....

Spoiler:
posing as the Sea King!?!?

Oooooooh cmon man!
I hope you are wrong. It also bothered me AQ's prison was not shown but I though it was just to explore the other "cells" more.
In the link I posted above DeMatteis clearly states there's a twist but he also says we meet the Earth 3 version of Aquaman in a never before seen realm.
I hope he doesn't mean a cell from the prison the others are locked up in.

Also how is he going to fake the missing hand?

Just saying: every KO'd character featured on the page I posted above was seen later on in the issue, except Arthur... And there's also going to be a Sea King-related issue 'with a twist' in the next few months.

Just a little strange, imo. Doubt that's how it'll really play out, though.

Hopefully
Now that

Spoiler:
Martian Manhunter
of Earth 3 showed up and
Spoiler:
also died
in Pandora, it would be a shame for Sea King to not even have a single line of dialogue or (hopefully) kick someone's @ss.
Even if it's for on panel, I hope it happens.

Kind of ironic, though... The most visually appealing incarnation of Aquaman, ever... Drops dead in the very first panel after he is introduced.

I HATE YOUUUUUUUUUU!

...

Not really 😆

See that's exactly why I wanna see him in action.
His design was awesome and there's so much potential of referencing his "angrier" days.

Also JLD being in an underwater realm makes the cover (where Sea King has trounced them) more plausible, sine underwater Sea King should be able to wreck most of those guys (apart from Swampy, although he could have some mystical mojo going on through his trident).

Underwater or not, I don't think any version of Aquaman should be able to beat guys like Phantom Stranger(who stalemated Spectre), Constantine and Swamp Thing... So I sincerely hope the cover is false.
