I love the way everyone looks. The art is beautiful. 😊 I think I'm inlove 😍 Anyway, if it were up to me I'd replace Shade and Midwarp for Dr. Fate and Raven. I've always wanted to see Dr. Fate and Zatanna team up. Raven would've been an interesting twist considering she's the daugher of Trigon. 😄
Geoff and Jim Lee were on a radio show or something, and they said as such.
For what it's worth, the story is taking place 5 years in the past, so assuming Final Crisis still happened in current continuity (and I'd say it's safe to say so, considering that Multiversity is out next year, and Morrison has clearly stated that the New Gods are still on Earth 51), nothing really is contradicted since
Spoiler:can still take place during that time period.
Darkseid's 'idea' manifestations on Earth
But then again, it's Geoff, and he may be butchering
Spoiler:to fit his vision of the new DC. I mean, it hasn't stopped him from doing so prior to this, and he had no reboot to stand on either.

I'd want him to stomp the Justice League, hard. Superman included, especially considering that according to the timeline, by that point, Superman had barely learned to fly.But be prepared for even Aquaman to have some good shots in. It's Johns.
I'd rather Aquaman get a couple of shots in than have Barry walk all over him.
From Gail's Twitter:
"Holy PANTS. I just read Grant Morrison's Action #1. This is a Superman I have been waiting to read for YEARS. Good GOD. This is not hype. Action #1 hits like a punch in the gut. I'm stunned. Action #1 made me want to smash my head against the wall. It's that awesome."
I can't wait for the Legion story Grant is doing. ✅
Darkseid officially announced as the villain:
There’s been a lot of talk over the past few weeks about the villains in DC Comics-The New 52. You’ve probably noticed that we’ve been using the hashtag, “#thenewvillains,†both here on THE SOURCE and on Twitter . There will certainly be plenty of villains making their debuts in the coming weeks. While by now many of these villains have already been introduced, not all of them have been fully revealed just yet.On Friday, writer Geoff Johns and artist Jim Lee appeared together on Sirius XM’s “Geek Time†to discuss the launch of DC Comics-The New 52 and their first ever collaboration, JUSTICE LEAGUE. During the interview, they revealed the identity of the series’ first villain. What threat is so big that it brings together the team for the first time? If you don’t want to know who it is just yet, then whatever you do, don’t click after the jump (major spoiler alert!).
In the first story arc of JUSTICE LEAGUE, the villain needs no introduction: Darkseid.
JUSTICE LEAGUE #1 goes on sale August 31st.
