Shut up Bentley.

Scott's talks about STARFIRE!

Kory was definitely being evasive/sarcastic because she did NOT want to talk about her past with them and issues that will come up later in the series. She does not have a memory of ‘a goldfish’ as some people have been saying ‘round the ‘net.

Also, Jason was lying to Roy about certain implications he made in the first issue to Roy about Kory. I won’t say what exactly because I don’t want to spoil the next issue, especially since it’s not out yet.

This also may be uncomfortable to bring up but while talking about the ‘controversy’ over Starfire, Scott got VISIBLY upset when speaking of some of the ‘****-slamming’ terms he has seen/heard written about his portrayal of Kory. He pretty much said that he couldn’t believe some of the terms people were throwing out and you could tell that he was really broken up that people would think in those terms and that it was okay to spread them around.

Did trolls just get to a writer?

Sounds that way. There is a Marvel editor who contantly puts down posters on CBR, too. Forgot his name.

Action Comics #2 was excellent.

Morrison's the shit.

Yeah, it was great, and I expected nothing less.

Morrison's the shit.

It was very good.

He demonstrated an accelerated healing factor...and his eyes emit "all kinds" of radiation?

Wonder how these will play out in the future

Yeah, Supes using his vision-powers to short out all of Luthor's electronics = clapclap.

The comic itself was great. I really enjoyed the behind the scenes back up, explaining the rationale behind Morrison/Morales direction with characters and how they've changed.

I liked JLI #2, as well.

Spoiler:
I think it was either here or on another thread where ODG asked if Guy and Tora's relationship had been retconned, and the quick answer is yes. They apparently dated for a while, but nothing serious came out of it as opposed to the prior continuity.

Stefen Wacker. One of the rudest online posters I've ever seen.

Interview with Paul Cornell and Miguel Sepulveda at the end of JLI says Black Adam will be a villain.

Does this mean the Marvel family will be on Earth-1? Shazam? Just BA? Thoughts?

Hmmm.

Cornell has gone on the record to say that growing up, he was a huge Captain Marvel fan and that he'd love to work with the character.

I really hope that if Black Adam is present, Captain Marvel is. I don't see how you could frankly introduce Adam first without Marvel unless they're going to have Adam be the current "champion" of the Wizard gone bad and Billy becoming Captain Marvel is a plot line they'll follow. Either way divorcing Adam from the rest of the Shazam/Marvel Family mythos is a terrible idea and one I hope they don't do. I still don't get this psychology behind not utilizing the Marvel Family in DC outside of DiDio's idiocy.

Assuming they'll be in the mainstream continuity.

I agree. That was written about Stormwatch, so BA will be a villain in that storyline. I haven't heard anything about Captain Marvel being involved in anything, let alone Stormwatch, so it seems to me that they're going to be separated. Bad call if it's true.

Brian Azz already said a Captain Marvel series is coming out. Probably around the time JSA comes out.

BTW, Animal Man was the shiznet!

In which continuity?

Animal Man's story was good, but I still don't care for it personally.
JLI was ok
Red Lanterns was the same as the first issue
Green Arrow is bad. Just bad.

Action was the coolest. Haven't read Animal Man, but I have hopes for a dethroning.

I didn't like Animal Man as much as I liked AC. It's just... Bizarre. Very reminiscent of Vertigo's run in that regard.

...I don't plan on reading any other new 52 issues this week, so I'm curious to see if anything else stands out.

Swamp Thing was pretty solid. Establishing a potentially serious threat.
Batwing continues to be a top 3 in my book. The artwork is amazing, Massacre seems to be a legit bad guy...it's just awesome all around.
OMAC was meh. They lost me when Brother Eye used the term "OMACTIVATE"
Stormwatch was fantastic. Another top 3 for me. Great characters, great threat.

Spoiler:
MM was faking the KO

Detective Comics was ok. Too many Batman family titles for me, I'm going to have to cut them down.

Haven't gotten to Men of War yet, but looking forward to it.

Not going to read the following:
Static Shock (Bad #1)
Batgirl (People liked it, I didn't really care. Cutting down Bat family titles. Will read if others highly recommend)
Hawk & Dove (so-so #1)
