So the great Kratos needs help?
Kratos blows link out of the water though in terms of strength, feats, and skill to laughable levels.

Mmm...Well, I don't know anything about MK. So it doesn't matter. 😮

Base Kratos? Sure. Kratos with his equipment, nah. As for pure strength & durability, Kratos does actually blow Link out of the water, unless you are using GoW1 Kratos and a stronger version of Link, like TP Link.
Indeed. Though most of the thread has been off-topic. facepalm2

Who cares about the myths I am talking about the game's version of these characters. You people and your moral codes are getting in the way here. The reason the other gods were killed is because they wanted to kill Kratos. They actively were in a war against Kratos and the titans on Zeus' side. Kratos came after Zeus originally he wasn't out to massacre every god. You have no idea that they were involved in a huge way and when someone tries to kill you even today you are justified in killing them. If someone breaks into your house and tries to kill you you are even justified killing them under the law. That's justification. sweetheart. Leave the stupid morals and the bigger picture out of this.
Why would he stop trying to kill the gods since they were actively trying to kill him and the titans ? Do you think Kratos should have lived in a rock and stayed away from them ?
They were in a huge war and Kratos won. He killed everyone who screwed him over and got in his way. End of story.
You said being a better fighter means you live longer. Athena, being kind of alive, must be a better fighter than Kratos.
And you need to stop with the fanboy wankage you have for Kratos and trying to defend his monstrous actions. Kratos wasn't acting in self defense. He was DEAD. If he chose to accept this, nothing bad would have happened. But no. He left Hades for REVENGE. That's it. And what you're using as a comparison is not the same thing as what happened to Kratos. Here is more like what happened to Kratos: A criminal is out there killing people, a cop shoots him, he dies but the hospital manages to revive him, and said criminal goes on a revenge quest against said cop for killing him.
Here is an idea: Kratos wanted to die. Zeus gave him what he wanted. Did Kratos stay dead? No. Cause he wanted revenge. And yeah, hiding away in a rock would be better than the course of action he took. A million times better.
Along with bringing back the evil titans and killing millions of people. Villain protagonist.

A little I suppose. Still not getting laid anytime soon.
It's about a guy and his travel home. Sure he wants to save his friends first but essentially Sora's goal is rather selfish. He wants to get his friends and go back home. Just so happens that saving a bunch of worlds from evil was another side thing that he had to take care of first.
IDK. Zoroark might be able to cast illusions on him while Regigigas pummels him.

Yes, he left for revenge which is justified. If someone kills you for no good reason you are justified in taking them out. Kratos previously aided Zeus and wasn't a criminal by any means through what the gods have done or been responsible for. The thing is coming back to life isn't unjustified and who would allow being tortured by Hades in his realm rather than coming back to life ?
Kratos didn't want to die by Zeus's hands. Had Zeus not sneakily tricked him and murdered him and had he not screwed over gaia maybe he'd be alive but karma is a bich and it got to Zeus in the end.
The Titans weren't anymore evil than the gods. hat's the hilarious thing you are acting like Zeus is the good guy an dKratos is 100 percent evil along with the Titans. Newsflash--gaia aided Zeus in the first place and he screwed her over.
Zeus and kratos are both pricks and Kratos killed him. Survival of the fittest the new replaces the old. This is all common in mythology.

I know the events between Ares and Kratos proves Kratos is indeed a better fighter than Ares. I already knew that.
Revenge is not something justified. Revenge that results in the murder of millions is even less justified. And apparently Zeus also killed Kratos because he was acting just like Ares, so Zeus was very justified. And the person who would allow themselves to stay in Hades would be the kind that wanted to die in the first place. Which, Kratos should have nothing to fear in Hades if it's like the myths.
So now the suicidal guy gets picky over who gets to kill him? Revenge, monster, rinse, repeat.
Well if you want to prove Zeus is ever so evil, then you'll have to prove it. Kratos as it stands has far more evil deeds under his belt that I can recall.
O RLY?

You are looking at this morally which is incorrect. Zeus killed him because he feared his power ever since he killed Ares. It had nothing to do with Kratos' current actions Zeus just used this situation to his advantage by animating the colossus and sapping Kratos' power.
We see the video game verse Hades hates Kratos and this game isn't like the myths. Look at Gaia for crying out loud.
Yes, when someone screws you over it's natural to get back at them in the samre manner they offended you. It's justified though morally not the best course of action.
If you played the game you know Zeus is evil as well. he's not 100 percent evil but just his actions against Kratos are underhanded and down out of fear.
You wanting to compare these two has nothing to do with Kratos being justified in killing Zeus. Zeus brought about the deaths of the gods not Kratos. Zeus fled like a coward. Kratos eventually beat the life from the coward which is what he deserved.

Was only questioning the idea that a better fighter lives longer than others.
How am I supposed to look at it Quan?
It should hate Kratos. Half of them are there because of him.
Justified:"Having, done for, or marked by a good or legitimate reason." Revenge is not a good reason. Failure.
I actually don't know anything evil Zeus did accept possibly killing Pandora, iirc. He had Ares killed and tried to kill Kratos but considering how much trouble both were causing, there is nothing wrong with stopping them.
You know, lets twist your argument around. Zeus was acting in self preservation more than Kratos was. He wanted to stay alive so he killed Kratos. Kratos at the time was murdering like crazy just like Ares and there is no reason to think Kratos wouldn't decide to kill Zeus. After Kratos came back, he fled. Cowardice you say? I say self preservation dear Quan. Your argument for Kratos fits Zeus far better.

You are looking at it from a moralistic standpoint from your modern day views which is completely different from the atmosphere or the age these guys came from.
When they actively try to kill him what else is he supposed to do ? Kratos didn't make it a point to go after them. he was after Zeus so if they actively try to kill Kratos he is justified in murdering them.
Self preservation is not only a good reason it's ingrained in all of us.
Zeus didn't want him killed for his actions as jerkface I want to go to war Kratos he wanted to kill him because he feared him because he killed a giod which he himself wanted. So for achieving what Zeus wanted zeus wanted to kill him. Yet somehow through it all you blame Kratos.
Zeus wasn't in self preservation mode when he killed Kratos. He tricked him into giving up the last vestiges of his godlike power and then killed him. If Kratos came after Zeus initially then Zeus would be justified in killing him. My argument fits and both of these guys will kill you if you cross them. Kratos was bred for combat and chosen because he excelled in combat and the arts of war.
Zeus got what he had coming. Kratos ended all of their asses. In war all things are ugly and when you try to kill prepare to be killed. Wake up and join the real world.
This is vaguely relevant to the current discussion.

Kay. Ajax, when he only thought he had killed his allies but realized the gods had tricked him so he wouldn't, killed himself. Kratos could have done that. Or make amends with the god that forced him to do evil like Hercules. If it's a matter of Greek ideals, Kratos is still a monster.

Ignore them. Incapacitate them. Die. Any of these would be a better option that killing them.

Indeed. Kratos was a dick like Ares. If I were Zeus, I'd expect him to kill me too because he clearly did not give a shit about anyone. Killing him to stop him from doing what Ares was doing is perfectly justified.

Yeah....No. If he was supposed to die because of some vague prophecy bull, he acted in self preservation. Even if that isn't the case, him stopping Kratos is even more justified for the simple reason that Kratos was in the wrong.

Kratos was a monster as God of War. He deserved to die. He should have died. You defend Kratos for some unknown reason to me, when even the game makes it clear that Kratos is nothing but a monster that killed anyone, consequences be damned.

No, expect a guy like Kratos to come back and kill you especially if you kill him like a coward by not even revealing your his enemy. Zeus is also his father so trying to kill your own son is sickening.
If you ko them they will just came back and kill you. In this atmosphere in a war it's kill or be killed. Neither side here was right they were flexing their muscles and the gods wanted to retain control whereas the Titans wanted to regain it. Kratos was just trying to murder his evil dad for killing him. To say he isn't justified is plain ridiculous. You are looking at the greater good which has no meaning here.
Zeus wasn't justified when he initially killed Kratos. If Zeus never did so Kratos would never have killed Zeus hence the justification. Zeus killing out of a personal fear isn't justified it's called paranoia.
Wrong. Kratos cared about his wife and child. he also cared for Pandora. Zeusu didn't give a f--- about Pandora. Kratos got medieval on his ass when he tossed her aside. Kratos was betrayed by two gods he never went up against until after they betrayed him. Hence justified.
His actions weren't justified because he was the reason he brought out the prophecy if you want to go about it that route. He killed Kratos which means you made an enemy and Kratos rewrote time he's that badass. Zeus being his father and killing out of fear isn't justification.
Kratos was a monster but a monster with justification. He was betrayed and when you betray a monster prepare to die. Kratos did care for his family and Pandora so there were redeemable qualities about him. But as the god of war what else is he supposed to do but go to war ? You act like as the new god of war he shouldn't be involved in war.

I do expect that from Kratos. Unlike Ajax, Kratos does not give a shit about his actions. Monster. Oh and you bring up morals when you tell me to leave them out? STFU Quan. Kratos killed his own kid in the equivalent of being in a drunken rage. He is more monstrous than Zeus.

Knock 'em out again. Kratos wants revenge and is perfectly fine with screwing the natural order of the planet, condemning mankind to a living hell. I.e Monster.

Oh really now? Lets see: Kratos was ignoring what the Gods warned and continued waging war. He is not helping the paranoia when he seems to be right on track to betraying the gods. Cause he is a monster.

You know, Henry VIII probably cared about people too. He is still a monster who had half a dozen people burned at the stake for each wedding. Kratos was justified in killing Ares. Not Zeus. Killing Zeus was done because obsessed over revenge. Monster.

Redeeming qualities don't amount to anything. A monster is a monster. And IDK what a God of War is supposed to do. Listen to other gods instead of doing whatever the hell he wants might have been a smarter choice.
"And IDK what a God of War is supposed to do."
Lol. It's to make ice cream obviously.
He was made the God of WAR. WAR. It was practically his job to wage wars. It's like crying about making insects kill each other.
And Mortal Kombat Stomps btw. Kratos is stronger than Regigigas and much more athletic and skilled in combat. And Regigas starts of much weaker and slower too.
