Whatever you say Quan, I'm not going to waste my time with this. The simple fact that Galactus is willing to wait for something that he desperately wants says it all.

I'd bet dollars to donuts that if Thanos was Odin who was Galactus in this arc, you would be the first in line claiming that Odin is not more powerful than Thanos and that he's a huge coward for fleeing the battle field.

That's how it had to end. Just like anything arcs end and things return to the status quo. I mean Beta Ray Bill himself was more successful at bringing down Galactus in stormbreaker than Odin was here.

I am completely unbiased when it comes to Thanos you know that. Everyone here knows it.

He just decided to grow it, I guess. No idea why Coipel added that.

Like I said, have you read his posts? I do acknowledge that more than a few believe that Galactus should be far beyond Odin. If for no reason other than someone told them it's so. Notions of a similar origin are Juggernaut being completely invulnerable and everything that disproves it is PIS, Hulk is only a one dimensional brick who isn't very effective etc.

Why are you trying to get a rise out of me Quan? You know it rarely works.

Same goes for me with Thor.

Anyone have scans of the fight from after Odin enters the Odinsleep to Galactus leaving the battlefield?

Some of us don't have access to those issues yet and may or may not want to weigh in as impartial third parties (at least up to this point in it all).

So Galactus decided to take a nap? I guess the itis' affects even cosmic beings. He grew tired because he was hungry. Galactus ran from the Odin Destroyer in fear. He's a coward.

Other way around. I joined his club and made a hostile take over. Thor's the most powerful being in existence (Way powerful than that weakling Thanos). Next to Superman of course.

Don't look if you dont' want to see MASSIVE SPOILERS :

Wow, a lot of people weighing in that Galactus ran when all we have are uninformed statements from volstagg, which the arc has CLEARLY depicted is more of a buffoon with his outlandish statements (like volstagg claiming he was as mighty as Thor in one of the prior issues, Volstagg claiming that the humans were preparing for all out war against asgard, etc.). And no, that's not me being bias, that's me seeing that galactus didn't leave when the destroyer appeared, he didn't leave when mjolnir was pulled from thor and was brought to the destroyer's hand; he left when surfer told him the seed was gone.

If he had left when the destroyer appeared, if he had left before surfer told him the seed was gone, then that would add weight to volstagg's statement. As it is, it's just a fat man boasting.

And NOWHERE at all in the comic does it state that Odin entered the destroyer. Neither was it some "trick" to get Galactus to leave. Odin even told Thor, who accused his father of messing around with tricks and deceptions, that he wasn't being deceptive and that

"I lack the strength to continue braining that monster"

And Galactus isn't forced into a truce because the destroyer stood in his way. Galactus and asgard were forced into a truce because loki through the seed into the world tree and that finding it would be the equal of finding a needle in space/time, meaning neither party could control the seed and therefore further fighting was pointless. THAT is why an uneasy truce is formed. Really, did people offering opinions on this even read the issue yet?

one last thing re: volstagg's statement. I'm going to ask fraction to clarify this so no one is left misconstruing it.
