That wouldn't be a "H2H win" going by the rules you apply to McClane's fight. Van Zan did nothing more than hit a guy a few times. A normal guy with no special training who wasn't trying to kill Van Zan, just got pissed that Van Zan started swinging his dick around.
McClane scraps with a Special Forces guy and ends up killing him via kick into jet engine = no H2H win according to you.
McClane disarmed and beats an armed Russian service agent who had a gun pointed at him = no H2H win according to you.
Ergo, Van Zan = 0 H2H wins, by your own rules.

Well no, since that never happened, the theatrical cut/dvd release just shows Van Zan grunting, posing and throwing "punches" for want of a better term that wouldn't hurt a schoolgirl with brittlebone. Whereas McClane takes guys down with Joe Frazier like hooks. 🙂
