Word.

here come the "odin can beat a celestial" arguments/threads, even though arishem pwnt him and his colleagues when most say odin was written way more powerful than he is currently, and he had a lot of back-up and weaponry.

Going to be the "PIS" arguments IMO.

The headbutt is infamous though still but in a horrific way. I just don't get how these writers usually struggle with putting together an exceptional fight.

I figure it's just as much the artist's responsibility, too, but c'mon.

I'm not asking for overzealous space cheese feats or anything, but he's going on about how challenging and rewarding it is to write two godlike beings throw down in a way that is beyond the ken of other, albeit lesser, gods, and he comes up with a headbutt.

Hell, he should have had Odin just give Galactus the Stone Cold Stunner or something.

I would never argue that. Can't speak for some of the other "Thorbags", though.

Slightly off topic question, though: Are the Celestials that showed in Uncanny X-Men the very same as the those in F4, or are they the "real"/616 Celestials?

It seems that lately the Celestials are being portrayed as being damaged somewhat easier, but they still repair nigh instantly, so it's all moot.

Well, atleast the BIg-G owned one of them...

Still, he needs to get revenge on these overpowered freaks...

Idiotic issue, as I knew it would be.

So according to Marvel :

Galactus > one ALT reality Celestial > two ALT reality INFINITY GAUNTLET users

How do they compare power wise to 616 reality Celestials is still open to debate. We know for sure that the ALT reality IGs DO NOT compare in power to the 616 version.

^ What was idiotic about it?

The ones in Uncanny X-Men were the 616 Celestials.

That he forced them to merge is impressive. He looked well on his way to taking them down one by one.

Celestials...gotta love em 😛

I loved how many many had Big G winning and I know Galactus is a force but this is a war he simply cannot win

Kirby intended the Celestials to b beyond Galactus and the Watchers

I told us that Galactus and the Celestials survive. I said the new Eternals series is coming

I said to peep the new Thor/Deviant war

I wouldn't tell us anything that wasn't true. That's not who I am

Goin to sit back and enjoy all the posts on every single site I am on

😛

The head just seems to be a mostly empty helmet. It's part of an armor, but does it contain anything else? So if it died, who would have the power to accomplish this feat? Galactus? Hmmm

I find it interesting that they said it was unquestionably dead when it displayed sentience on some level in gotg. Oh well.

Tiamut is the leader and most powerful Celestial

S.H.I.E.L.D Celestial rivals Tiamut and read S.H.I.E.L.D if u like 🙂

Yes those are 616 Celestials

Gaiman already proved Tiamut>Galactus and many can differ. It is what it is

Alternate 'Mad' Gods Celestials are powerful

Its ok I love it 😛

Celestials simply cannot die

I know the theory of the Absolutes 😛

DNA were quoted given time where goin to explore the possibility of Count Abyss destroying Knowhere

But again Knowhere(Celestial head) is alive and Abyss isn't 😂

Galactus held his own against several Celestials pre-fusion, and then the arc failed to destroy those Celestials, I think Galactus just was more impressive than what you give him credit for 😛

I'm happy Galactus put up a good fight before going down but after reading the issue, it's pretty clear that this Celestials (Or at least Hickman's depiction of Celestials) are far less powerful than what they once were.

Reed used a portion of the energies Sun to smash the form of the combined version, Thing and Sue Storm's shields withstood multiple blasts, Johnny Storm was blasting through them. Worst of all, they've turned into a giant f*cking autobot. I mocked Odin's headbutt, and I'll mock this as well.

Again great showing for Galactus, it cements him as definitely being on the level -of these- Celestials, but as someone who first read about them in the Thor comics, this shit is stupid. The simple fact that they talk, and so often, takes away from them imo.

What gives you that idea? Roy Thomas wrote the Celestial encounter, not Stan Lee. He had a far weaker incarnation of Odin, not sure who you've been talking to.....
