Galactus vs The Celestials...

They were ALT reality Celestials, lest we forget. And Reed owned them with an entropy gun he invented. At least against Reed they fled. So according to Marvel :

Reed >>> 616 Galactus >>>any single ALT reality Celestial >>>>>>>Two ALT reality Infinity Gauntlet users

How do they compare power wise to 616 reality Celestials is still open to debate. We know for sure that the ALT reality IGs DO NOT compare in power to the 616 version.

It's not idiotic at all. The ENTIRE history of alt reality IGs has proved time and time and time again that they're far less powerful than their 616 counterpart.

Do I even need to remind you of the issue of What If where Doom had the power of the Beyonder, Alt-Reality Galactus, AND an alt Infinity Gauntlet, and it still took him over 300 years of continuous non-stop combat against an alt - Prime Celestial Host? And that the Gauntlet actually became so drained in the conflict the gems started cracking?

No.

Galactus killed one, just like Reed did with his gun. Except Reed and the rest of the council had to flee, also, one of the Reed's was brandishing an alt-reality IG, along with all the other Reeds fighting and cluttering the battlefield. That's why the council HQ was abandoned in the first place, it was overrun by the Celestials.

Galactus was by himself. I don't see how you can find any logic in there that implies Reed>G.

I saw this scan from another board and Guy222 is there or is it an alternate reality Guy222. LOL

Celestials bleeding radiation is stupid. Though tbf they're alternate versions so they can be completely different animals.

I'd like to note that Thing was withstanding like one continuous blast and Johnny Storm had the Cosmic Control Rod when he blasted through the Celestials and got hit. It allows him to burn hotter than the Sun.

Why? Any sort of visible energy kinda falls under the purview of radiation...

Thing stood against a Celestial blast and Colossus got punked by a Celestial blast. I think that says something very important that not enough people are stressing.

Man, I think I'm going to make a page with the two.

Remember it was me, Mr.M & somebody else who came to the conclusion that the alt IGs were weaksauce. I think Mr.M provided scans supporting that. It was in that other Abraxas thread. Not the latest 1 but the 1 just before it.

When Reed whipped out a random weapon in his arsenal and destroyed one of those Rogue Celestials, the rest retreated.

Prepped Galactus (that just ate 4 worlds, one for each Celestial?) supposedly took down a Rogue Celestial, and instead of fleeing, they combine to form.....whatever and kick his ass.

Reed > Galactus.

Four Celestials bodyslam Galactus, next panel they are shown, he pwns one. Let's see Reed top that 😖hifty:

Actually, Galactus attacks the Celestials forcing them back (Not sure if this is an indication of power or momentum/ferocity) and then kills one (At least I think he does) by blasting it's head. They then merge and one shot kill him (At least I think they do), they proceed to roll out.

I don't get how you manage to come up with insane logic in every thread

Also, Thing didn't withstand against it, he was down as soon as he got hit.

Sue's shields withstanding could be attributed to her having hyperspace on her side, which is their weakness.

Johnny used his most powerful attack on a cosmic level.

The weapon wasn't just using the sun's power, it was drawing from many sources. It's one of those Reed weapons he pulls out of nowhere that de-fused something that just one shotted a very powerful Galactus, so ya... lowering it to planet, or sun level is just wrong.

He was knocked down but he wasn't knocked out, he was fighting on:

She was able to use her powers to reach the right harmonic level needed to break through Celestial armor so I guess the relationship to Hyperspace can be used as a possible explanation as to her withstanding their blasts. Though it just felt like her force fields being tough.

It allowed him to burn hotter than the Sun, not sure why the attack would be on a cosmic scale. Course, that depends on your definition of cosmic.

I thought the Sol Anvil drew some energy from the Sun and blasted the Celestials apart?

At least that's what it looked like to me:

But the art's weird there so I'm open to other interpretations.

It is a last minute Reed related plot device so I guess the Celestials should be given some leeway.

Anyways, this issue was very meh, Hickman phoned it in.

And we don't see Thing up for the rest of the issue. Taken out. Plus there was energy all over the place in that issue. It's hard to tell what was directed, and what was just background energy.

Hyperspace

Because his nova was more powerful than it's ever been... before he got the Cosmic Control Rod. Which would have amped him to quite a large degree. It wasn't a small attack, maybe a little questionable, but still. It still was instantly healed...

It was also drawing from four other sources. The art makes it look like it's taking energy from the Earth and the small sun between the Moon and Earth that's always been there.

And I thought it obvious that what something draws on has no indication of their power level in comics. Other wise we have Superman never being above a sun level. Fallen One being infinite due to infinite power. Quaser, etc.
The thing blew apart something that just one shotted a very fed Galactus. Sun level? No. Plot device? Absolutely.

Wait, this was before or after Galactus "killed" that Celestial? Cause it seems like Reed put that guy out to pasture.............for good. I'm betting it was just KOed otherwise how would they combine with it to form Devestator? Once Reed "really" killed it, they were knocked out of their gestalt form.

Anyways, this issue was very meh, Hickman phoned it in.

Agreed.

There were 4 celestials, now there are only 3.

Is one off panel?
