By comparing that guy to the criminals in Gotham, and refusing to kill him the rule was implied if not specifically stated imo.

Oh don't get me wrong, it's definitely implied, strongly implied indeed, but someone asked if he ever stated he would never kill.

Oh OK. Well then I cant recall him ever saying anything along the lines of "I will not now nor will I ever kill a person."

Though now I think of it he has been indirectly responsible for the death of a few people in the films.

It's to much of a bold statement to make given his line of work, and it is implied he intends to kill no one but why make that swear when something could always inadvertently happen.

Bane....... seems a little small as well.

Exactly what I said.

That's close to the point I was trying to make in regards to beating Joker to a bloody pulp as a finale to TDK rather than hanging him upside down.

I mean Batman's violent interrogation of The Joker easily blurred the lines towards torture. Smashing the Joker's face into the table top could've easily cracked his skull & killed him.

Correct but also we know the joker deserved nothing less being he had survived a savage beating(s) earlier.

See...now you're blurring the lines.
Regardless of how high the Joker's pain tolerance is does not dictate the level of violence done onto him.

So Batman has no qualms of permanently injuring someone but he still won't cross the line of killing (in the Nolan verse)?

Also when he dropped the guy off the balcony and broke his legs lol. I reckon it could well have been fatal or the guy may have become a paraplegic, depends how he lands.

You know that reminds me, the Night Club Fight scene totally pisses me off. Batman just looks like a mere man in a suit fighting his way through thugs. He was decent at fighting, you'd think maybe special forces, but theres no way one would think he represents the legend of the Dark Knight. The "real" Batman would strike from the shadows, those thugs would be out before they knew it.

I dont know. I have a feeling this one is going to be very good. I still have hopes that it will be though.

That fight scene really bugged me too. Batman came charging into the night club blinded by anger. There was no skill in his moves, no strategy in his fight.

I guess that's the hardest thing in any Batman movie is to make him come across as more than a man in a costume. Begins had some beautiful scenes using shadow & darkness to compliment Batman. Whereas TDK exposed Batman to a lot more light & open spaces, these scenes really didn't work in his favour.

Yup, that's why I have my worries about TDKR, he is fighting in DAYLIGHT, in the OPEN...

Regardless of his state of mental health...The Joker is still a human being.

Y'know skull fracturing, broken bones, internal bleeding...

I mean the Joker slammed some mobster's head down upon an upright pencil...does this justify Batman to do the same to him?

Everybody likes Batman. And I prefer the Burton films as well.

But the Schumacher ones should be rounded up and burned.

Yeah Burton was good, forever and & robin should be never seen by human beings.

Just never thought someone wouldn't like Batman...but you do like him. Most Batman fans would pick the Nolan films over the 3rd movie and probably the Burton movies...but not as much as the 3rd and 4th movie.
