Being a coward doesn't stop him from sending people down there in his place. Blake wanted to go down and he stopped him. It's lazy writing alright.

Blake is a cop. He deduced that Jim would wash out at the same place that one older brother did. He was right.

How does he know Gordon was going to be killed and thrown in the water? He shows up just the moment Gordon washes out. If they had him washed out and hours later a search team finds him, it would look like Blake conveniently found Gordon.

It was funny how they kept on telling him, a rich man can't climb out of the hole", did he say anything in retrospect to that? I dont remember, but once he left the hole you would assume he would help the other guys one by one till they were all out of the hole, and how did he get back to america? He had no money? WAF*EN lie.

i don't do that.. i don't over-think these kind of movies.. plus, every movie has a plot-hole of some sort.. if i go to the movies, sit there and make notes of plot-holes and shit, i have just wasted my $18.. i'd rather stay home and masturbate.. [/B]

Compare any movie to a long running tv series & you'll notice LESS plot holes or PIS, regardless of the genre or whether you like the actual series.

I'm simply saying if I was a director, if I had $300 million invested into my project & a reputation at stake, I sure as hell would eliminate every plot-hole or instances of PIS before I started filming or even released it to public viewing.

Why? Since when does eliminating all instances PIS and every little plot hole sell movies? If your given $300million to invest, the no.1 concern of yours is to make that money back with as much profit as possible. That's what your career will rest on.

did you just compare a movie to a long running tv series? a movie, at its longest is maybe 210 minutes, and that's pushing it.. an epic trilogy would probably be 12 hours at its longest.. do you know how many hours "lost" is? season 1 has 25 episodes, and it ran for 6 seasons.. how much plot hole is in that series? there is no way that you can possibly eliminate plot holes and PIS in anything.. do you know how overly long and overly boring your movie would be if you had to explain absolutely everything? and not only that, $300 million won't be enough for your project.. not to mention the logistics nightmare you will come across.. and believe you me, nolan's reputation is nowhere near taking a hit because of TDKR.

and maybe bruce got back to america because he called in a favor.. he IS bruce wayne.. i bet he knows some people.. or how about he stowed away in a plane? if a boy can do it (http://www.inquisitr.com/284763/british-boy-liam-corcoran-sneaks-onto-flight-winds-up-in-rome/), i'm sure as hell a f*cking ninja could do it..

and lastly, why the hell would he help the other guys one by one? do you know how long it would take for every single one of those prisoners to be lifted out of that hole? he dropped the rope, that was more than enough.. there were a lot of more-than-capable prisoners to help the others..

sorry about the rant.. i'm just tired of this shit.. put 2 and 2 together, please.. if you can't, then it's okay.. it's just a f*cking movie..

Saw it earlier. Possibly best Batman movie ever.

Glad somebody here enjoyed this movie. Though I still say TDK was better.

It's not about eliminating all instances of PIS & plot holes TO SELL A MOVIE... it's about respecting the intelligence of the audience so they don't feel ripped off & then spend their time griping about the flaws on a message board.

Look back on the last couple pages of this thread, the general consensus is that TDKR is enjoyable (some say not the best in the trilogy) but the majority of the viewers are left wondering about the ridiculous or illogical aspects of the movie.

As far as what my career would rest on...If I was a chef with a decent reputation, I wouldn't be relying on cheap produce & half-assed cooks who didn't care what they did.

I wouldn't say it's about money but the plotholes take away the credit of claims that this was truly a masterpiece. The dumb down of certain characters and plotholes to advance the story turns would could have been a masterpiece to something that's lacking.

Exactly the point I'm trying to make.

Nolan wants us, the audience to believe that Batman can exist in a real life, present day situation. But then he throws all credibility away by wanting us to further believe (or suspend our belief) that an entire police force (without their fire-arms) can find themselves trapped in the sewers for 3 months, allegedly fed (but unable to escape or be rescued) & then come out healthy, fully uniformed & clean shaven ready for battle.

If they can get them food they can get them shaving foam and razors. And I guess theres not much else to do but exercise down there. It really isn't that big of a deal.

Yeah the only thing they were worried about was turning into homosexuals. 🙄

Whoosh that went right over my head.

Agreed. Complaining about how Bruce got back to Gotham is fair as it is somewhat relevant to the plot. But complain about the cops being clean shaven... Really? It's not relevant at all. Plus watching a bunch of filthy bearded men fight Bane's LOS would have looked silly.

Wait...

Spoiler:
About the prison thing. After Bruce crawled out of the whole, he threw a rope back down. What was that for? To free everyone else in there?

Also, I'm really thinking Bruce just used The Bat to somehow get around. Like, I wouldn't doubt it if he used that to get back to Gotham, might be reaching, I guess. He def. used it though before he showed it Fox cuz honestly, it really was in the cave before he got sent to the ultra slammer.

TDKR writers meeting..

writer 1: so they escape after months in the sewer and they're ready to fight?

writer 2: yes.. the police force escapes--

w1: wait! are they clean shaven or bearded?

w2: what?

w1: are they clean shaven or bearded?!? for god's sake man, tell me..

w2: umm, shaven?

w1: oh, thank god.. ok, moving along.. so a burning bat-signal you say?

ROFLMAO at people whining about plotholes

Maybe they gave them razors.
