That's the point too. Everyone says, "it's just a movie, don't get so hung up about it..."

No, it's just not a movie, it was a $300 plus million dollar project with big names & their reputations attached to it. Personally if i even had just 1 million invested in this project, I'd be saying, "Hey guys can we fix/address some obvious plot holes?"

I..... Don't say that, it happens, but you can get as hung up on it as you want. Your opinion and stuff, I respect it.

I'm over my moaning.

Thanks y'all for the debating & opinion sharing...
It's been a long week for me at work with hardly anything to do but gripe & ***** about Nolan & TDKR.

It's been fun being righteous. 🤘

Even if he did fix the auto-pilot, how was he able to summon The Bat, half a world away from Gotham?

OR

Bruce snuck in Gotham first (how, I dunno), grabbed The Bat & then flew out of Gotham & back in again?

Can't you see the point I'm making?
There's been no other movie in recent times that has left so many questions unanswered. Everyone's making ridiculous justifications to every plot hole in the story.

He's Bruce Wayne. He has connections across the planet. Viewers are to assume that he reached a destination in which he got his contacts to get him home. I don't want them to spend 30 minutes on how he got home. He's Batman. I just wanted to see him get out of the Pit.
Silly nitpickers. Complain about REAL flaws.

Must we go through this again? -.-

It's just annoying to me that people have this NEED to hate TDKR. So every complaint is something so nitpicky that it makes no sense to why it would ruin a movie for someone.

Are you sure you aren't just a Christopher Nolan fanboy?

Cute. Insults due to lack of proof that you're not merely nitpicking. No, I am not a Nolan 'fanboy,' but I appreciate films without the narrow minded need to criticize any minute detail to its core. Unlike you (apparently), I like to appreciate a film's dialogue, direction, acting, and character development over "How did the billionaire genius figure how to get home in a sequence that doesn't even matter?"

You could have just said no. lol @ "unlike you", though. As if pointing out how silly it is to get upset by things people say on the internet is somehow a reflection of my taste in movies. lol

That's not the point of a discussion.

i think the best thing to do is just have Impediment close the thread

Nah. This movie is too big to close it over a few people arguing.

He's Bruce Wayne. He has connections across the planet.

And where were these connections established? It is made quite clear that Bruce Wayne is now washed up in the business world so why would anyone finance his return to Gotham City? They won't know he's "Batman" and he would not reveal it. Here's how that conversation would play out:

Batman: "Yo, Mr. CEO of a former business partner of Wayne Enterprises, finance my trip back home on a supersonic jet so I can save Gotham City."

CEO: "Why!??!?!?! That's suicide!"

Batman: "...because I'm Batman."

CEO: "GTFO. You've gone crazy."

Batman: "No, really. *takes shirt off* Wanna know how I got these scaaaars?"

CEO: "Well, then...by all means, jump aboard my private and secret supersonic jet to make it back to the US in less than a day."

Why do I have to invent plot to explain other plot? I should not have to: it should be part of the narrative. This is why it is called a "plot hole".

You know, all they had to do was have Bruce answer a question, from Selina (Catwoman), on how he got back, "Bruce Wayne still has friends in high places...and dark places."

That's it! That would have created the necessary plot and we could have filled in the rest. That's the difference between decent writing and lazy/crappy writing. Just replace some of the shitty dialogue those two had with that question and answer and it gets rid of a major plot hole. No length added to the film and a major plot hole is resolved.

We're not discussing whether or not you're a fanboy, though. I was asking if you are a fanboy.

actually yeah this thread should be closed because its just ignorant to cry and whine about plotholes .. especially since these plotholes are really nothing whatsoever

are you a Nolan Hater????

You guys still complain about this crap? Who's to say Bruce didn't just hitchhike? It was three-frikkin-months later near the end! If you want to really complain about plotholes, go rewatch the Christopher Reeves Superman movies (specifically part II) if you want to really criticize the stupid that is presented before your very eyes.

Yup, he hitchhiked back to the US, in just a day. Glad you could clear that up for all of us.

lol! What do you think we are trying to tell you? How did he make it all the way back to the US with very little time to spare?

But, aren't the Reeves' Superman movies considered B Movies?

Let this movie just die, it was ok none the less only because of the dark gritty quality it possessed and the cool new gadgets he had never the less this movie should go in the closet.

God forbid that Nolan didn't cover every little moment. I was disappointed that they didn't make the sequel "The Dark Travel Agent."
