You guys still complain about this crap? Who's to say Bruce didn't just hitchhike? It was three-frikkin-months later near the end! If you want to really complain about plotholes, go rewatch the Christopher Reeves Superman movies (specifically part II) if you want to really criticize the stupid that is presented before your very eyes.

And which plothole's where they?

only one Plothole comes to mind how Clark and Lois made it back to civilization.

God forbid that Nolan didn't cover every little moment. I was disappointed that they didn't make the sequel "The Dark Travel Agent."

"God Forbid that Nolan didn't write a coherent plot that would have only taken the skill and intelligence of a highschool student."

That's better. 🙂

In addition to my list of about 6 or so problems I found with the film, I also posted a listed of 65+ problems that others found with the film. It's hardly a well-written, edited, and directed movie. It's rather atrocious if you start to think about it.

To be fair in that list of 65+ problems I see some as legitimate gripes and others are a bit nitpicky.

😛

besides Batman caries a mother box and that is what he used to get back..

there ya go.. end this debacle, become adults and move on

Y'know I watched The Avengers again on Blu-ray.
Given the fact that Whedon wrote & directed a movie that juggled at least 7 or 8 prominent characters & weaved a story line that gave each character both justification & equal screen presence....he did quite a good job at minimising plot holes.

I'm not a Nolan Hater nor am I a FanBoy but he sure did some sloppy storytelling when it came to TDKR. Nolan wants us to believe that Batman could exist in the real world & in this sense he should've been more critical & vigilant to the more obvious plot holes that he created.

Wrong.

He was a penniless Westerner stranded half way around the world with nothing but the clothes he wore.

You're really forgetting how he lost status in Wayne Industries & had all his funds & assets frozen.

Hell, he even had his electricity cut off at Wayne Manor & yet we're nitpicking when we question how he got back to Gotham? 🙄

ONE: thing thing is all you nitpickers are are haters of Christopher Nolan and one of the greatest trilogies of all time ..

TWO: i said it once before and I will again, millions of people around the world are not worried about plotholes and other bullshiite

1. I have been told I nitpicked the hell out of this movie myself, but I am far from a Nolan hater. Dark Knight is a top 5 all time movie for me (and Nolan is probably my 2nd favorite director behind QT). It just happens that Dark Knight Rises is one of my least favorite Nolan films. I do think this is one of the greatest trilogies of all time, but DKR is the weakest of the 3 Nolan Batman films IMO. Still, that does not make me a Nolan hater.

2. I don't care what millions of people think. If a movie is disappointing to me, that is all that matters to me. But for argument sake, this Batman film has also received more criticism than any of the other Nolan Batman films, so while millions of people didn't care about the plotholes, plenty others DID care.

How did Wayne get back? Wayne used his robbing skills he learned in BB to pilfer some shekels. Simple, really.

Any other mysteries need answering?

well you should care because this film is huge success around the world so yeah my point about others not crying and whining about plotholes is correct.. you have your opinion and I have mine.. to me this film was perfect to me as I had no expectations except to see a good film...

you mean those that are crying , whining over nothing?? who the frack cares how Wayne got back.. amongst other shiite.. also then why has nobody talked about the plotholes from Garfield Spidey, bourne legacy or total recall, no one has hardly so that tells me people are simply hating on a very good film and its director

Don't get me wrong, I liked the movie. I just didn't like it as much as other Nolan movies. And the reason nobody is talking about plotholes in Spidey, Bourne Legacy, or Total Recall, is because people weren't as invested in those movies being great. I care a heck of a lot more and expect a heck of a lot more out of Dark Knight Rises than those other movies.

that is an excuse you just gave regarding no one talking about the plotholes in the films I mentioned.. Each and every film has plotholes, do you think Robtard and Sadako care about the plotholes in the Die Hard franchise??? If people are gonna cry and whine about the plotholes in The Dark Knight Rises then they damn well better talk about other films and since they aren't that tells me people are either haters for Nolan and what he accomplished or they had high expectations for The Dark Knight Rises and when their expectations weren't met, hence this crying and whining

No, I watched the movie & paid attention to the sloppy story-telling.

actually it was great storytelling

The story telling was not as consistent as BB or TDK.
I remember participating in the message boards for Begins in 2005 & also TDK in 2008...from memory hardly anyone had issues regarding obvious plot holes or PIS like TDKR suffered from.

What's wrong with having high expectations for a film considering all the marketing, promos & the calibre of names attached to TDKR?
