I'm no physicist but wasn't Thing falling faster than 52 miles/hour there?

His punch is... negative?

mmm

The Ben clobbers the laws of physics.

I want to see -PR- giving his tought about this arc.

His heart is probably bleeding after seeing how Cyclops is written.

not meaning to go h1 here but 45miles an hour is bull crap.

thats probably just around 40kN of force. thats assuming that the car weights about 2 tons.

Now translating that to pressure generated by the size of namors fist would be around a little over 5MPa. Standard concrete has a compressive capacity of 28MPa.

Namor has, in the past, been shown to be stupidly strong and able to smash through walls and shit.

but now their telling me that namor can't even bust through a standard concrete wall?

seriously, writers should stop trying to quantify shit and just have the artists draw them doing it as it just shows how really really stupid they are.

Take that Namor! [/B]

This proves without a shadow of doubt that Ben is the physical superior. Other showings be damned.

Worst "facts" ever. 😐

Not that it matters. Limiting showings actually helps Namor.

It could just be attributed to Namor holding back, even said he was trying to prolong it?

That would make the most sense to me.

I'm not going to pull out math, but Namor punched the Thing a decent way up into the air. Much higher than a car moving 45 MPH would.

Similarly, the art seemed to show Namor being propelled into the water at a faster rate than a 52 MPH car would

Damn writers. This is even worse than the Flash evactuating a city of 500,000 in an attosecond (or whatever second...) and the writer calling it a "hair under lightspeed", when such a feat would be trillions of times lightspeed.

Fun fact: That tower, if made of concrete as it appears to be, would weigh far more than 170 tons

Yeah that's what I said in another thread even referenced that feat.

In issue #2 if you did the calculation for Quicksilver he would have to be going over mach 400, but in the next panel they say he was going at mach 5. Some say he just slowed down, but I don't think so as why quantify one instance and not the other, especially why would you want to quantify the speed when he "slowed" down?

This is sooooo unfathomably bad.

I can't believe the Ironman/Magneto shit happened.

"Firing Super-Magnet Swarm"

I see Stark's weapon-naming abilities have gone downhill. ermmnone

I thought the Tony/Mags battle was well done, tbh. Neither of them were jobbed out, and we got to see what they were capable of. Mags, for instance, was siphoning magnetic power from multiple planets, Tony was siphoning magnetic power from Jupiter, etc.

👆

Fraction handled that one, didn't he?

The Mags/Ironman fight was awesome. People downsize too much around here.

Both showed the kind of feats I expected from a forum fight!

Ah, I see.

I thought it would be Fraction due to his resume of handling both X-Men and Iron Man.

You should have known it wasn't Fraction on account of it wasn't terribly written. 😎

Fraction can and has written a great Iron Man, though.
