Phoenix vs Onslaught

Started by Mr Master14 pages

++++

Scott Summers (Cyclops) created the "Here Comes Tomorrow" universe (reality 15104)
by deciding to leave the X-Men in 616, this caused the divergence.

When Jean reached back into 616 (where & when Scott made his decision)
and she changed his mind about leaving the X-Men,
reality 15104 ceased to exist.

The power to alter Reality 15104 (Here Comes Tomorrow)
was always and only within Scott's decision.

Cyclops created reality 15104 ... Cyclops nullified reality 15104 via Jean's mind rape.

That's it, that is all of it.

----------------------------------------------

Now, concerning the "feat" that's being mostly argued here,
which addresses what did Jean exactly do to,
or how did she "amputate/sever/disinfected" Reality 15104
BEFORE erasing said Reality from ever possibly happening via the Scott mind-rape?

----------------------------------------------

Jean amputated/severed this alternate possible future,
by extracting Sublime's atoms
and shifting outside Space-Time into the WHR with said atoms.

** It took her 7 pages of prep-time (where all her friends died horribly
around her distracting Sublime while she concentrated performing
this feat)

Interesting ...

Didn't the Force's consciousness tell Jean:
"Telekinetic control of all those atoms at once
isn't as easy as it sounds in training
not even for a White Phoenix of the Crown.
"

🙂

*** This is the only thing Jean did that seemed difficult for her,
so it's simple to see,
the extraction of Sublime = the amputation of future,
it took her 7 pages of prep-time to extract Sublime's atoms,
and the Consciousness told her this task wasn't easy even for her.

I mean lord,
Jean herself even clearly states this right after extracting Sublime

"Surgery Complete" ++

... And the PF consciousness agrees ...

"intelligent bacterial gone rogue ...
I had to amputate the whole future
" ++

"Phoenix disinfection successful" ++

----------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------

It all fits perfectly.

----------------------------------------------

We know she extracted Sublime first which lead to the amputation of said future,
she then at the end "nudged Cyclops of 616 to re-open the X Institute to prevent
this future from coming about
"

Jean didn't directly affect Reality 15104.

Jean traveled back in time to 616, changed Scott's mind about leaving the X-Men.

Reality 15104 now no longer exists.

This is the SAME description in the actual "Here Comes Tomorrow" bio:

Anyway!

..................................................................................................

And what does Jean do?

What did she do when she said, "Live Scott?"

Jean touched Scott's Past-Self from withIN the WHR,
changed Scott's mind about his life, Emma & the X-Men,
and then Scott's decision Alters Reality 15104.

..................................................................................................

According to Grant Morrison's Editors of the arc:

(excerpt from the Questionnaires addressed to the Writers, last page New X-Men #155)

..................................................................................................

On Panel verification:

In 616, Scott walks away from Emma & the X-Men: (HCT - Reality 15104 is created)

..................................................................................................

In 616, Jean changes Scott's mind so that Reality 15104 will be altered/erased:

..................................................................................................

Scott stays with Emma & the X-Men:

==========================

==========================

And cats got her manipulating the atoms of 616 ... 😬

What?

To change Scott's mind? ... I disagree.

Grant Morrison Editor's themselves told us what happened exactly!!!!

.................................................................................

Again ... According to the Editors of the story:

"It was Scott's decision to walk away from Emma
that set the apocalyptic events of 'Here Comes Tomorrow' in motion

(Scott inadvertantly Created Reality 15104 with a decision)

and Jean made sure that Future would never take place"

How will Jean do this?

(what I've always said)

"By making him stay with Emma instead" .... ✅

.................................................................................

So talented. Keep going. Galactic, come in here and post something against this thought out post.

Scott created reality 15104, by leaving Emma & the X-Men
it diverged into a disastrous possible future
at the hands of Sublime.

Jean extracted Sublime's atoms and shifted herself into the WHR.

Don't ask me why/how,
but for ol' Morrison this amputated reality 15104's (HCT) future.

But said amputation left behind this possible 616 future (15104)
without a future of it's own. (which previously was Sublime's infection)

So in order for it to grow a new future, thus erasing the possibility of Sublime,
Jean reached back in time (easily achieved in the WHR)
changed Scott's mind about leaving Emma/X-Men
and thus this horrible future that awaited 15104 is no more.

Simple.

Have you read your own post? That sh*t doesn't make the slightest bit of sense. You know it. I know it 🙂

Jeans mission was to disinfect reality.

As depicted on panel Jean extracted Sublime from reality thereby disinfecting it.

In carrying out her mission Jean as stated said the infection at the hands of Sublime was so deep she had to cut off the future from reality.

So dont play dumb and say by extracting Sublime reality 15104 was mysteriously amputated.

You cannot do that because Jean takes ownership for the feat. She previously takes the process of extracting Sublime from Beast which the handbook confirms is how reality is disinfected.

Jean then states she had to resort to amputating the future because of the severity of the infection.

Jean takes ownership for the feat and explains why she had to do it.

The whole scene has a surgical theme with Jean as the surgeon and reality as the patient. In real life sometimes following the cleansing of an infection, the damage wrought is so sever that a limb cannot be saved, necessitating amputation.

Following disinfecting reality through the extraction, following Jean stating she amputated the future from reality, the Phoenix Force tells Jean she must grow a better future to replace the one she cut away.

Jean then goes on to alter events in 616 to prevent the situation that caused Here Comes Tomorrow, thereby triggering a replacement future.

Jean states she cut away the future, the Phoenix Force confirms she cut away the future, it also urges her to alter the past to grow a new future to replace what she cut away, telling you conclusively that what Jean cut away was a part of the timeline.

Its stated on panel and the handbook confirms the very point-

You will deal with the truth 😆

😆

My point is clear, and you made yours.

No need to re-hash when it's all been said and done.

Let the onlookers decide. 🙂

Mr Master would you like to explain to us how the extraction of Sublime = the amputation of the future? 😕

Definition of extract- http://www.thefreedictionary.com/extract

"To draw or pull out"

Exactly like what Jean does here with Sublime-

She draws the bacteria from his body.

Definition of disinfect- http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/disinfectant

"To free from infection"

So by drawing Sublime from Beast, Jean disinfected reality as confirmed by the handbook-

Definition of amputate- http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/amputate

"To cut off a part of the body, especially by surgery"

To extract is not the same process as to amputate under no circumstance.

Sometimes a bacterial infection can be so severe that disinfection is not enough and an amputation of the infected site is necessary-

http://www2.nbc4i.com/news/2009/mar/23/teens_legs_amputated_after_bacterial_infection-ar-11881/

As we saw on panel and as confirmed by the handbook, Jean extracted Sublime and it is this action that disinfected reality.

Jean states that the infection was so out of control that she had to go as far as amputating the whole future

At the bottom of the page the Phoenix Consciousness confirms that Jean cut away the future ushering her to grow a better one.

The Phoenix within the M'kraan crystal again confirms that it was Jeann who cut away the future timeline and it encourages her to cut her emotional ties with reality by pushing Scott not to turn his back on Emma, thus preventing the event that triggered Here
Comes Tomorrow.

"If you want it to grow a new future to replace the one you just cut away"

Clear as day Jean states she amputated the future, on multiple occasions the Force confirms Jean cut away the future and she is ushered to replace the future she cut away. She then alters the past preventing the events of Here Comes Tomorrow from occurring within 616, thus giving it a better future. Thus proving that what she cut away was timeline.

Further to the point the Official Handbook confirms that Jean severed the future timeline from the multiverse-

"In one future Phoenix severed the alternate future of reality 15104 from the rest of the multiverse"

Multiple on panel statements clearly marking Jeans feat as well as a handbook entry making the point.

It doesnt get much clearer than that.

So just to reiterate, we saw on panel Jean disinfect reality by extracting Sublime from Beast and this point is confirmed by the handbook

Following the extraction we witnessed, we then hear Jean state she had to go as far as amputating the future because the infection had gone out of control.

The Force confirms Jean cut away the future and persuades her to grow a better future than the apocalyptic Here Comes Tomorrow.

A 2nd time it is confirmed by the Force and Quentin that Jean cut away the future timeline and that if she wanted to grow a better future to replace the one she cut away she must alter events in the past to ensure a different outcome.

Therefore the fact that the future timeline was amputated is acknowledged

Responsibility for the feat is attributed to Jean on multiple occasions

She is encouraged to create a different outcome for reality to replace what she cut away thereby telling you AGAIN that what Jean cut away was timeline. 😄

Debate to uncover the truth Mr Master, do not spam threads with ignorance in an attempt to keep people thinking the way you want them to. 👇

anything? 😕 🙂

😂

Camp A, Phoenix merely gave someone an antiboitic and killed a virus.

Camp B, Phoenix held an entire alt universe in her hands and worked to repair it.

Camp C, Who cares about Camp A and Camp B, her actions erased an entire alternate future from the multiverse. Something that doesn't happen merely by messing with the Time Stream (as proven on panel).

I'm with Camp C and I think that's by far the most impressive feat.

Onslaught gets no respect. No mention of him or any of his feats since page 4. 😂

Anyway back to ODG/Mr.M vs. GS. Carry on.

That aside,
am I supposed to re-shove the same argument down everyone's throat?

You're like a child kicking sand in the box to get attention
cause the the other kids won't play with you.

That aside,

Show us where (on panel)
Jean amputates/severs the future of reality 15104

if not when she extracted Sublime and shifted into the WHR.

** Which is all obvious symbolism since Sublime
can't be the embodiment of a future reality,
and it is Sublime that is referred to as "The Future"

After seven pages of PREP,
Jean is finally able to extract Subime's atoms

:

Phoenix mentions what she just did,
the Phoenix Force consciousness confirms what she just did: disinfection,
which we know was the extraction of Sublime.

Jean says "amputate the future."

Next panel, Jean stares at Sublime's atoms and refers to Sublime as the "future." http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Even%20More%20Random/Sublime01a.jpg

That green glob is Sublime.
Jean isn't being literal about Sublime's atoms being a future timeline.
She's being symbolic, i.e., Sublime is the cause of this future.

So you must concede, Jean isn't being literal here when she says "the future."

+++ I like what ODG concluded here:

But, Jean says "future" twice in sentences back-to-back.

In one, you concede she isn't being literal, just metaphorical.

In the other, you insist that she must be literal.

We have a phrase for that:

SELF-SERVING HYPOCRISY.

Your blatant hypocrisy offends rationality.
