When he asked the eye to track them, it was looking for their destination. When he said START RECORDING, it was in reference to the fight. The screen even open up for him to view the fight since the eye found them on SCREEN for them to be recorded. It had NOTHNG to do with his voice since again it was made plain and clear since the fight was viewable once he said "record".

Oh, and let's assume that you are correct and the eye started recording when superman was about to punch diana, what would it prove? Its still a proof of FTL combat since you know that light takes 8 minutes to travel from sun to earth.

Initiate tracking (which means, "find the targets)... Begin recording (which means "start recording"😉. He began recording the fight when Diana was punched from the Sun to Earth. We do not know what they were doing before recording the fight. Superman could have choked her out of the window and they could have started talking afterward or whatever else anyone could think of between the gap he pressed record on their fight.
The fight was recorded from the point of punching Wonder Woman to Earth and this is stated on panel. It took 2 minutes from that point for them to complete the entire battle which is impressive but not nanosecond impressive.
Superman flying from the sun to Earth at high speeds, we already know he can do that, along with many others.
