How is it stupid when it's true?

Also if multiple things destroy an argument then eliminating one of them doesn't make the argument sound again. You must eliminate all of them.

Although they aren't as frequent because he's an Earth based character and you rarely get exact speed or distance references Superman has flown to the edge of the Universe or to the center of the Universe in short amount of time[panels or pages in the middle of a story that didn't put on hold for 7 million years for him to get there]. In Countdown he flew from another galaxy of space all the way back to Earth in a few panels, maybe a minute or so. This including the time it took for him to pick up the signal from Jimmy's watch from that distance. These are enough to be comparable to pretty much any speedy space-bound character outside of teleportation.

Beyond that, the moments we see them flying around with speed, dodging, fighting and pretty much every other aspect of speed when interacting with characters he's every bit Surfer's equal and likely flat out superior.

Actually Superman's travel speed compares to SS's travel speed. Actually Superman's acceleration may be higher.

OWAW where Superman fights the probes.
Also Superman has the reflexes and thus should be able to change directions with ease. Remember nanosecond reflexes are those to react to light speed movement within 1 meter.

prove that it was a split second. it could have been 2 seconds (the moment he finished the sentence). Superman can reach light speed almost instantly.

Nothing anyone says in comics is truth.

Gladiator or Superman saying they can do something they've never been shown to do is different than an extremely fast character talking about how fast he's going while he's going fast.
