USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE VI (LIGHT SIDE)- Missing Links

They must sense something else then, not directly related to Adelmo. A third party has entered the fray maybe? Alternatively they may just sense that, in our current state, we may not be able to stand up to her anymore.

Or perhaps they sense that one of us may fall to the Dark Side when confronted with it?

Especially with so many Renegades in our group.

They'd recall you if that was the worry- besides, unless you are wandering around performing mass slaughters, that's not really the sort of thing that can be sensed like that.

The Renegades? Where's the love Vlad? 😛 Anyway I think half the Temple Jedi have been closer to falling than any of the Renegade Jedi.

Should update the Council on what we've discovered so far? It might help them narrow down whatever possible trouble they're currently sensing.

I was actually thinking about how true that is, with the Jedi skirting the Dark Side closer than any of the renegade Jedi.

But yeah just taking pot shots =x

When we update the council, can I try to find out from Master Windu more specifics about their uneasy feeling? Or it's just that, a very vague sense that something is going to go wrong.

I just had a thought about deciphering the data. Lennah got a hold of this sat with Adelmo and he was a tech whiz, can we look into seeing if he or his company designed a device or software that would help us out with the data obtained from Kazan's base?

Is this a feeling that Gallagher shares? Adelmo herself hasn't increased in danger but the overall situation itself?

(Maybe our Dark Side counterparts?)

Jelena looks up from examining the ancient encrypted data with Andro and Roan and Xeth's R3, and greets Vlad with a smile.

"Thank you for joining, Vlad," Jelena says. "We could have used your talents with rifle and saber yesterday, but something tells me we will need them before we complete our assignment."

Jelena will agree with Wentar's assessment of who receives added medical treatment.

So our final numbers, post-treatment:

Jelena: 46 (Revitalize used)
Essallin: 48 - Medicine: ?
Andro: 34
Argo: 40 - Medicine: ?
Roan: 33 - Medicine: 5 Healing: Sunda
Sunda: 33 - Medicine: ?
Gallagher: 38 - Medicine: 6 (Revitalize used) Healing: Xeth
D'an: 40 - Medicine: ?
Denzral: 30 - Medicine: 6 Healing: Denz
Vlad: 0!

Vera: 13 - Medicine: 7 Healing: Andro
Xeth: 19
Wentar: 48 - Medicine: 5 Healing: Roan
Rast: 46 - Medicine: 6 Healing: Vera

I have been out of the loop for a bit, but Denzral is healing himself... cool. Right I'm going to try and catch up.

I didn't think about that, Wentar! I wonder if that's the case and if there's some way we could get it quicker than fiddling with it ourselves.

Jelena is worried about the Council's decision to rally a task force to join them on their mission, considering the size of their team. Does she know the last time they put together such a force of Jedi?

Wow. Maybe Xeth could call on some of his Renegade contacts to contribute to the task force? Do we know who will be leading the task force they're assembling?

I generally assume all of your guys that are available are here with you.

Jelena- generally you are surprised if this happens more than once a decade, but these are troublesome times of late.

-

It's a nice thought,. Wentar, but you'd need the right contacts to get to any of Lennah's presumably confidential hi-tech stuff.

Is a group of us working on it with Fix-It going to be enough to work it out and get the info we need? I didn't think to ask if that actually did the job.

Surely we have grounds to get a warrant to investigate some of Lennah's tech. We did just find a fully operational Sith Base under one of his cooperate holdings (complete with secret tunnel in the basement) and we know he spent time here observing the construction.

Rast has a lawyer as an ally merit, would that get us anywhere?

That might take a long time...

You can get a warrant to search the building on this planet easily enough, but you have no evidence chain (only speculation) to authorise a seizure on any of Lennah's products- and even if you did, executing it would indeed take time you don't really have.

That's fair enough! Option 2! We intimidate the company into giving us access to Lennah's tech by threatening to go public with the "fully functional Sith base under your corporate buildings won't do well with stockholders" route...

Heh, probably going too far. 😛

Guess we'll have to see how the fix-it group goes.

I say we firebomb Lennah's offices on the weekends when nobody is present, and free his employees from his evil (braindead) grasp!

I would in theory make available the less orthodox approach to this sort of thing in a Renegade game- but let's save the trouble by reminding you of how paralysed Lennah's company is without Lennah, whom they didn't even know was (technically) dead. It;s remarkably awkward to threaten a headless organisation; no-one actually knows how to deliver what you want.

(In fact, the better Renegade option would be to break in and steal it; a disorganised company wouldn't have much of a response)

If you felt your Renegades are that way inclined, of course...

But this is a mainstream Jedi game so I am afraid things have to be dealt with in very upright fashion. Skill approach indeed to this- but not just Fix-It...

Good thing I preview before I submit. 😛 Since we have to do things on the up and up there's no need to ask people how far they're willing to go to catch up to Adelmo. For the record though I wasn't being vindictive towards Lennah/corporations specifically. I just figured if we were on a time limit we should explore unorthodox options if it meant taking less time.

Anyway, could we make Jedi Lore rolls to see if we have any knowledge about usual tricks or ciphers Sith during that time used on their data banks that would help us crack this data?

Let's not go breaking in places.

If not just Fix-It, then Jedi Lore? And perhaps Jelena could combine her Language score (both because it is probably written in some ancient Sith dialect and because computers use language too) to really get some work done.
