"Someone blew it up."

"Meaning someone else beat her to it or she found resistance when she got there," Xeth says. "Did you find out who did it or did you leave it as you found it?"

"Well now," says Saar. "You should be able to put it all together by now..."

"Kuylen," Gallagher says, simply.

"Nice try, and that's probably whom Adelmo was guarding herself against- but that doesn't fit the logic of the story you know."

"Kuylen had dismissed the Syphar n Kalar as a myth at that time, he was more than likely too busy with Avalar and the Mausoleum to be chasing down Adelmo," Wentar mentions. "Either this was the point Lennah betrayed Adelmo, or the White Fortress is not as abandoned as we might think."

"Adelmo was very well focussed on the possible dangers of the White Fortress. And I certainly know that Lennah's ship went out there with Adelmo's... but only his ship came back."

"I would imagine either Lennah had reconsidered their arrangement based off of Adelmo's dangerous tendencies or he wanted to reap the possible benefits of their findings for himself," Vera-Kin says. "Or some combination of both. Either way, it sounds as though he saw his opportunity and tried to shoot her down over the White Fortress. However... she survived."

"I made a radiation scan on Lennah's ship sometime later. If he had landed on that planet, the evidence would have imprinted itself quite heavily on his vessel. He never landed. He must have destroyed Adelmo's ship the moment they arrived.

"The door was closing when they got there- mere days before the star emerged in full and the planet became a death trap. Even if Adelmo got to the lifepods, there was no apparent way for her to avoid death."

"And yet, she survived the ambush."

"Apparently so- so then what did she do?"

"She must have managed to make it to the planet and find a way to escape it before the radiation took full effect," Vera-Kin says. "Perhaps she found a starship on the surface, or a means of communication to call for help?"

Or Saar. Saar could be lying. Adelmo could have been there when he got there and he could have picked her up.

Or they could have brought a third person.

Vague third person sounds unlikely to me. Someone had to have saved her from certain doom, though. Possibly the White Fortress wasn't empty just yet.

"And what did she do after she had escaped?"

"Tracked Lennah down and fried his brain seems to be the power-crazed lady next step to things," Xeth says. "Exact her revenge on the guy who shot her down and left her to die."

"Indeed," says Saar, "but what she didn't do was show any new-found insight into the Syphar n Kalar."

"It sounds as though she didn't have much time to explore," Gallagher says. "With the radiation levels spiking shortly after she arrived there... perhaps she never got a hold of the Scrolls at all, and everything she has done in the mean time has been in effort to find other clues while waiting for the White Fortress to become accessible again."

"That sounds about right," says Saar. "So, there you go- now you know it all."

"Except for what the White Fortress might hold," Gallagher says. "And what Adelmo may or may not know about the Syphar N Kalar."
