"I fail to see how that really matters."

"We needed to know Adelmo's next move," Vera-Kin says. "If anything, she's going to go after the remaining half of the Scrolls. I think we know everything we need to. Now we just need to go get them before Adelmo does."

"Agreed, we finally know what she intends to do before she has already done it. If we beat her to the White Fortress we can finally get ahead of her. We should find out when it is next accessible as soon as possible."

"Well," says Saar, "the last time Adelmo was there is just when the window was closing... and that was... well, let me see... almost exactly ten years ago. So I'd say that if you move very, very fast, you might just catch her before she's flying away from it with the Scrolls in hand.

"Rather depends how much time you have spent messing around, really..."

Wentar just gives Saar a scathing look, understanding just how much satisfaction Saar must have gotten from toying with us for so long.

"We need to go, now," Wentar says to the group.

-

Guys, we've got what we came for and we've probably delayed too long. We should cut this conversation now and head out. Saar might have more we can use but it's not worth the time we'd waste at this point.

"I did tell you when you first came here," says Saar, "that it was time. I didn't need the Force to know that now was the time you would need my story."

(What's the Star Wars universe version of the middle finger?)

"I hope you've found this very amusing," Vera-Kin says. "Let's go, everyone."

Vera-Kin will make to leave, eager to get moving now that they know for certain what deadline they've come up against.

"I won't deny it has been fun," says Saar, as you start to unlock the doors to get you back out of the central prison area. "But now the game is over. The next time we meet, it will not be so amusing.

"Roan. Xeth, I made a vow. Everyone responsible for my captivity will pay. But don't worry. Your friends won't be left out- they are guilty by association with you. I think I'll kill them first."

Xeth offers a curt laugh.

"Good luck with that," Xeth says. "If you're planning on coming after us first, you're just one man, and everyone of us can and will fight. That's assuming you even make it out of here. Which you won't. And so we won't meet again. Goodbye, Saar."

Still, Saar's certainty unnerves Xeth, so he gets out of there quickly. He calls to R3 over comlink to get the Nexu's Grin prepped for take off and to set course for the irradiated planet they took note of earlier.

"White Fortress, here we come," Xeth says to the others. "Should we, eh, get some radiation suits or something?"

You have to take the shuttle down to Coruscant first- and there's a waiting committee at the Temple landing pad.

It's Trorn- liaison to the Jedi Council- and a figure you don't immediately recognise at first; an elderly man in traditional Jedi robes. It;s only when you land that those of you who have been here a long time recognise him as Master Scovione, his beard longer than ever. He's also, you thought, long retired.

"I think we should somehow keep an eye on Saar, or at he very least inform the Council about his threat before we leave," Wentar says during the ride down. "A man like him does not make idle threats. He has a plan and he seems resourceful enough to pull it off, despite his current position."

-

Wentar gives a short bow in greeting to Trorn and Master Scovione after they disembark. "Greetings Trorn, Master Scovione, this is unexpected."

"Agreed," Jelena says to Wentar. "He seems certain that he will have the opportunity to attack us and others."

-

When they take the shuttle down, Jelena is surprised to see Trorn waiting for them, and even more surprised to see Master Scovione. She remembers sitting with the old master when discussing Gallagher's plight and the threat of Sienar.

"To what do we owe this honor?" Jelena asks, bowing deeply.

"Dark times," says Scovione.

"You must come to the Council," says Trorn.

"Right now?" Gallagher says, trying not to be disrespectful but sensing keenly the urgency with which they need to leave for the White Fortress. "Our window is closing quickly to stop Adelmo. What is the matter?"

"The Council senses great danger in your task, young Gallagher," says Trorn. "Peril beyond what you can handle."

"Can't argue with that," Vera-Kin responds. "To the Council, then, to figure out how we can handle this. Because it certainly needs to be."

"We cannot refuse the Council, specifically if they have information that may help us," Wentar agrees. "But we will have to make haste. Trorn you must understand we now know where Adelmo intends to go next, but our window of opportunity to beat her there may be rapidly closing."

"To make it on time for your funeral helps no-one, lad," says Scovione.

To the Council it is! Bit of a squeeze, to be honest, but we'll let that slip.

Yoda is in session, but as ever he does not plan to make things easy, and much as you are agitating to get going, he's in no hurry to explain the summons.

"Hmmm," he begins, and it seems that is all he might say for a while.

"Learned much, have you?"

"We have, Master Yoda," Gallagher says, offering a short bow when he speaks to the Order's Grandmaster. "Saar has guided us to the point that we know Lady Adelmo's next step in her pursuit of the Syphar N Kalar."
