USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE VI (LIGHT SIDE)- Missing Links

Gallagher gives an involuntary shiver. The Council had not reacted this way to Sienar. He wonders what evil lies ahead of them to confront, and how it could be worse than Sienar's insanely evil nature. He knows Adelmo presents a greater threat, but Sienar comes to mind first.

He presses a hand on D'an's shoulder, hoping that his Padawan did not sense Gallagher's brief flash of fear.

"The Force has alerted us to this evil, despite the obfuscation of the Dark Side," Gallagher says. "We can trust in it to guide us in our efforts to defeat it. By bringing together so many Jedi of all levels, we concentrate the Light Side of the Force."

"Does our mission remain unchanged?" Jelena inquires. "Or does the Council wish to add more to our mandate?"

She resists the urge to place a protective embrace around Essallin, not wanting to be overbearing and knowing that her Padawan has stood strong up to this point in her training.

"Your primary mission remains to deal with Adelmo," says Windu. "But obviously this new situation, and her relationship with it, is something we need information on. Your team will move forward as you planned. You must find out the nature of what we face. Scovione will be on standby on a nearby moon. When you feel the time is right, his group will move in."

Wentar wishes he had Xeth's sense of bravado right now. He's beginning to feel they may be in over their heads, but the Council has faith in them so he shall not falter.

"How shall we signal Master Scovione?" Wentar asks. "And how soon will the task force be ready to move out?"

Jelena is both surprised and relieved that Master Scovione is coming along.

"Master Scovione, I've fought alongside you before," Xeth brings up. "It will be an honor to have you along for the ride, and a relief knowing that someone with your mastery of the Force and prowess with a lightsaber has our backs."

Xeth wonders if Corelay and any other Knights who had previously been in touch with their group might be included in the task force, or any of the Jedi Masters who trained them.

Rast has always operated alone since becoming a Knight, out on the lawless fringes of space, so getting these Jedi Knights together to work with him makes him uncomfortable. But if the Council thinks it necessary, then it's probably a good idea. He doesn't always agree with the Council. This doesn't seem like the time to argue with them.

"At least there's a Plan B if we all die on radiation world," Rast says.

Roan seconds Xeth's comments, "It will be an honor to know that you are ready to swoop in and save the day."

Lets get going! Not a second to waste!

Scovione will hand to, by default, Roan a cylinder abut the size of a paint spray can with a distinctive red button on top.

"This is a transmitter for an ultra-high frequency carrier beam," he says. "I have the receiver. It can't send any message other than my receiver acknowledging receipt, and the high beam frequency burns up the power cell in one use. On the other hand, it will cut through any stellar object- we could have a star in the way and the signal would work. It doesn't matter where you are, underground, in an electric storm or in a volcano. You press that button, and I'll know. When you press it, we'll come."

I am afraid it will all be generic Jedi beyond Scovione.

(ooooo! Red Shirts. Not a good sign.)

So, the really important thing I will need to know at all times is- who has the transmitter?

I will take it for now.
"Got it. Press button for the calvary."

I guess it's clearly Roan then!

Time to go in that case. Ship up and get heading out there.

Oner problem though- showing up as a straight Jedi is going to look a tad obvious out there. You should go relatively incognito for this- and you Jedi types will have a penalty for that. Renegades are more used to it.

Do we know enough about that area of space that we would have some idea of what we could pose as? Most of us would probably be against posing as criminal elements (pirates, etc.) or just plain ol' not good at it.

What is the penalty?
Maybe business travelers? Scouting out new opportunities for our particular flavor of Bacta Supplements?

It's outside of known civilization so you'll have to tackle that as best you can.

The penalty is that any roll to try and fit in out there is hard for Jedi needing 6s for success.

(In other words, Jedi have trouble 'flying casual'.)

How about simply Explorers? That way we don't have to fake any specialized knowledge.

Or refugees/colonists, looking for a new/better place to settle down. That would be good cover to explain the padawans. And again, no specialized knowledge.

Your ships look a tad dangerous for refugees.

Explorers could work for me. Our ships are armed and armored in case we encounter danger, but we've got a large team with a variety of skills to tackle the unknown. The through-and-through Jedi in the group can be the civilized aristocrats bankrolling the expedition, the Renegades can be their trackers and bodyguards and the like.

Well regardless, Zeth you should run point on any interactions we have with locals. The regular jedi should stay out of the way.

I am a bit confused about why would would need this? Aren't we just going to an uninhabited radiation filled world?
