Jelena will tell Essalin to go search the base!

Jelena is going to get working on the logs, if Roan wants to do something else. She is better with technical things than he is, though Denzral is our best, oddly enough. Can breaking into the secure system be a joint effort?

"I need someone to see if there is any correlation between what's playing on the screens," Jelena says. "And Gallagher... just take the headphones, please. That or see if you can get Lennah to respond to stimulae."

Well the system needs a recognised log-in and failed attempts to break in will make life harder. Who is going to try?

'Dead' rules out communication. It doesn't go beyond basically dead- Gallagher is clear. That's a corpse; a corpse being warmed and operated by electronics. It's not a life form.

The headphones just carry the sound from the monitors.

He's not doing anything at the computer, being dead and all.

Vera-Kin will take the headphones off of Lennah's inert form, if she can do so without harming what remains of him.

"He's alive," Vera-Kin says. "Just remember that. Roan, I understand you're the mission leader... you may want to be the one figure out if Lennah is still in there, somewhere."

I think Gallagher might get grumpy at that point- he's not alive at all. He's as dead as you can get. The being that was Gene Lennah does not exist. Someone has just preserved his corpse with the mockery of biomechanics.

There's nothing in that brain. It's a bag of meat and bone.

Ok. then WHY the heck is he being warmed with this mockery of biomechanics? What is his use if he is dead?

That's also a good question and you may be able to discern an answer.

Is his dna or biomechanics needed for verification or security purposes?

Ah!

Yes indeed- the programme the system is running keeps making a DNA-based security check.

Victory!
Now, what program is that? What is that program doing?

That will take more time.

Hmm, So that goes on the list of things to do.
WOuld it be possible to use the DNA thing to gain access to the logs?

Regardless, I want us to now try and figure out what that program does.

"Computer." Denzral will address the room at large. "Display current status, and running operations or programs that are related to your central core." If nothing happens, Denz will shrug and smile at Gallagher. "It was worth a shot."

Maybe we can use the old messages he sent to his company. Maybe there's a reference to his log in in one of those. If not maybe we should search the house before we take a crack at it, might be some clues we can use.

Nothing is going to happen until you get into the system (the DNA access is for a programme thst was already done with system access), and as you have no log-in this comes down to Fix-It rolls.

Roan wants to see what the programme is doing, whilst Jelena wants to check the access logs. These things can be done separately but any failed roll will mess the task up, so who is going to try what?

I'm not sure what stat the Fix it is rolling off here, I'm assuming it's Int.

Which means Roan, Jelena, Andro and Denzral are our best folk for the job, with Fix-it + Int scores of 7.

Denzral will happily take a crack at giving full system access. Any chance he can get Soapy in the help out? Hook him up via datapad wifi link or something?

Full system access will take a long time indeed. It's well protected.

I don't think we brought him, Denzral.

Actually, if the new Scholar perks are in use, Jelena has a pool of 8 because she gets +1 to Intelligence just for being a Scholar. Hooray!

Would getting full system access mean we'd be able to check everything, Ush, or do we need to work on these tasks individually?

Either way, Jelena will make a go at it to see who has been using the computer, or when it was last used.

It's much quicker to go for specifics.

Then specifics it is. Jelena will try to access the logs.
