USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE VI (LIGHT SIDE)- Missing Links

"Geron just had an assortment of knick-knacks from his world's history. No, this was on a far larger scale. Yes, it was far more recent than when the scrolls were composed, but that gives us millennia to work in.

"I speak of Darth Malphas."

What do we know of Darth Malphas so far? I forget if he has come up in this game because we already know him from some of the other things that make up the Ush Wars world.

Records of the Malphan Wars are extremely patchy, as the Republic was near-destroyed during them. But you know Malphas as the living god of the Jovano, who used that race as his shock troops as he and his Sith cohorts launched their vast invasion of the Republic.

"So you're saying we need to follow in the footsteps of a Sith Lord? Not a very comfortable thought to be honest," Wentar admits. "Did Malphas succeed in acquiring the second half of the scrolls?"

"Well, if you want to follow the path of Malphas, that's very simple- go visit the Jovano. Malphas was many things, but he was not exactly the 'outwards-bound' sort, if you see what I mean. Physically, there was very little to him. He stayed at home and got others to do his work."

"So we're to follow the path of one of his hirelings then? I assume you have information on who, or at least in which direction he began?"

"'Hireling' is not a particularly appropriate term. This was hardly a task to be entrusted to a mere soldier."

"A trusted aid, his right-hand-man as it were. Who would that be?"

"Well, he had his apprentice, Darth Varus. But Varus was also his general, and was busy smashing successive Republican forces."

"If his apprentice was busy did he have associate, similar to Lennah, he could use?"

Edited because I didn't preview before submit.

Its one of the characters from one of the Text based games, but i can't remember which one... I think the one from Island of Death?

"He had someone far more special than a businessman- and being as he was the leader and god of his own Empire, he didn't need a Lennah type to give him the type of resources Adelmo needed.

"The was a very particular Darth- perhaps Malphas' favourite. The first of his Sith to become a Darth after the war started, to replace the man-in-three-forms Darth Trayas, who got themselves killed on day one by the Jedi Osaryn."

"Who was that?"

"The General of the Republic,"Gallagher says, knowing this part of the story. "He was a Jedi that rallied the Republic against Darth Malphas and assembled an army.

"I don't know the Darth you speak of, though."

(Osaryn is the Jedi hero from the text adventures, and the Darth is the Island of Fire Dark Sider. I hope it's okay to use some of this in this game.)

"He was called Darth Kazan. Very little is known abut him- reports conflict even on what manner of being he was. Malphas put the potentials through the Island of Fire, a deadly elimination contest. The one that became Kazan, whilst very competent, was not the strongest or the fastest or the most skilled, or the most talented with the Force- but he won against the others. That was the somehing special that Malphas was looking for; a talent that could not be easily seen or measured. The Island of Fire proved it- Kazan was born to win.

"So whilst the other Darths fought on the front line, Kazan was given special assignments by Malphas. In Sith space or Republican space, in priate lands or the furthest reaches of the distant galaxy, he went where his master bid to perform those special tasks that needed his personal attention. Sometimes he was alone, sometimes with an army, but he was rarely seen with Varus; invasion force. Where in history we can see that Kazan went, we know something very special was happening."

"Which included the investigation of the Syphar n Kalar," Aruel murmurs to himself, brow furrowed as he tries to piece together the information being given. He then asks, "Was this Kazan responsible for separating the scrolls?"

"Whether he was looking for the Syphar n Kalar or not is a matter of conjecture," says Saar. "But I do know Kazan had possession of the scrolls- and indeed, he was forced to split them."

"What forced him to do that?"

(I know I'm not active much, but next week will be a long holiday since I'm getting booted at work so I can pick up when that happens)

"Rather like the nature of Kazan himself, we sadly know almost nothing of what he did and where he went. But there is one particular planet during the wars that we know for sure he was on, as he stayed there longer than any other in order to make his mark in its local history. In the middle of the wars, Kazan was sent to Alambritis, an unremarkable Republican world. He was sent with an army, but he was a long way from the main battle lines.

"We have no idea why he was sent there or what he did whilst there. All we do know is that it went wrong. Kazan found himself trapped on Alambritis, under siege form superior forces that surrounded the planet and intended either to storm or blockade him into defeat."
