USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE VI (DARK SIDE)- Enemy

Take it from Xavier the roof is the best place to be!!!

Ok then! Relle is heading up staircases and- as she gets higher- ladders, whilst Rand and Gallador are dashing (as best they still can) down corridors.

In both cases, there are still some security guards left between you and the target. How dopes each group want to bypass this?

In the interests of time-saving we won't do the atmospheric combat in full.
Xavier is now moving into position, ready to drop don once the shield goes off. That means he is taking the brunt of the fire from the ground guns, as he's a tempting target; there were 12 of those still firing, we'll say that two are blocked by the tower itself and we'll average that out as ten damage a turn on Xavier.

Galder and Azarl shoot down a fighter each turn and take one damage from each fighter remaining. That's five damage each this turn- of course, reinforcements may come soon...

CASINO DEFENCES ENGAGEMENT

The New Beginning: 151 P: 6

Paladin: 34 P: 7

Spearhead: 29 P: 6

Could we try intimidating the guards? They are propably not veterans and should be rightly afraid of force users.

Can give it a go! If only you had various powers and what-not that made you good at intimidation...

Well, both Gallador and Rand have Leadership, Presence and Charisma force powers (Gallador has all of them mastered and Subterfuge Mastered). Gallador has Intimidation pool of 7, Rand of 8.

They probably look a bit scary right now, bloodied and with clothes partially torn. Gallador's purple lightsaber should illuminate his pale, ghastly figure in eearie way, while Rand probably looks a bit like undead squid going on through sheer willpower.

Gallador will say something like: "You want to die here for Merik, puny fools?. You cannot stop the ones that killed entire Lantarnas family of the Serpent and Rivas, Emperor of Treganna Void. But come to die before our powers, if so you desire."

Any way for Relle to use her stealth to avoid them? She's pretty sneaky.

Adding to that: Agility 5 + Intrusion 2 + Presence 3 gives her a pool of 10. She wouldn't do as well on the Intimidation route, like Rand and Gallador would.

Otherwise she could take advantage of Eagle Eye and Eye of the Storm and find cover and stay at a good range so the security guards have trouble hitting her at all while she can pick them off from a distance.

Intrusion is indeed a very viable way to proceed. However, as the starfighter guys have openly attacked, I will say there are two guards at the generator itself.

And I will say that Relle can sneak attack them! Either lure them away one at a time or sneak up and quickly dispose of them.

Actually, counting Presence Gallador's and Rand's Intimidation pools are 10 and 11.

You two are scary.

Galder cautiously shoots down the airspeeders sent out to intercept them, performing barrel rolls and maneuvering into position before putting lethal shots into their vital machinery. He laughs as they vaporize or crash into the city below.

With the fighters cleared, and in order to give Xavier some breathing room, Galder swoops down on the turrets and drops another torpedo into the fray.

Put a Guidance point into my roll if it doesn't hit hard enough for cause massive destruction, hold off if I roll well enough.

"Help me with the guns!" Galder calls out to Azarl over the comms. "Xavier can't take much more of that, and if he goes, the plan's screwed and they're trapped in the casino."

Xavier takes evasive action!!!!

Any way Azarl could make a low pass over the guns to draw some fire off of Xavier?

Only if you leave yourself vulnerable to the fighters.

I may have been unclear there Galder- still ten fighters remaining; you only shot down one each (you don't have the capacity to kill more than that).

Xavier- you can't take evasive action and also move into position for a pick up!

-

And so, the wary guards don't stop the monstrous-looking duo of Gallador and Rand as they stomp imperiously through the upper levels- until they finally find Merek, trying to start up his personal escape hovercar at the side of the building...

-

Intrusion roll all passed, Relle! Both your targets are down!

(Pull him out of there!)

With her targets eliminated with quiet precision that even Relle wasn't sure she could perform with her neuro-damage, she moves for the shield generator, holstering her pistols as she moves. Upon reaching the generator, she snaps her red lightsaber on and plunges it into its workings.

"Good riddance," she curses as the shields go down. She turns her gaze skyward to the aerial battle, looking for Xavier's vessel and wondering if she's close enough to jump aboard.

Rand glowers at the guards as they step aside and scatter back into the casino, then turns his glare upon Merek.

"THERE you are!" Rand snarls. Before the pudgy gambler can escape in his speeder, Rand reaches out with the Force and attempts to haul Merek physically out of the vehicle and onto the platform.

"You're coming with us!"

He drags Merek across the platform toward him, feeding his power with hatred for this man who dared to send bounty hunters to HIS base and try to kill HIM, who fled like a coward when confronted with his crime and left the Dark Jedi to fend against the Bureau and the security teams of the casino.

"I WANT MY ANSWERS!"

Alternatively, if Merek is strapped in or some nonsense like that, Rand will quickly move forward and disable the hovercar with a deft stroke of his lightsaber through the engine.

Noting again that my Pilot score should be 8 with Favorite Ride, just in case.

And indeed I misunderstood. Galder will continue engaging the fighters, bringing another into his target-lock and blasting it out of the sky.

"Why have you sent assasins after us? Tell us, maybe we will find reason to let you live depending on your answer...." Gallador speaks in grim voice, moving quickly to stop Merik from escaping as his Master uses the Force to drag him.

Too bad he didn't have a ship, Gallador could've flown us out of here.
