Would it come down to a Lightsaber roll?

Pretty much.

Would it be easier to carve quick holes for them to jump through, rather than severing the whole damn thing?

Any hole large enough for them will still be an issue I need explaining as you have to be inside the lift to cut the top.

Relle's fairly athletic, could she cut out the bottom, flip inside, and then wedge herself against the walls while cutting out the top?

Could give it a go!

Then let's do it! Relle crashes her lightsaber into the bottom of the lift car, then jumps her way into the now-open box. Before gravity takes over, she stretches out and wedges herself into the lift, then proceeds to cut out the roof.

Now that sounds like a darkside action!!!!

Right, so, just to check, what is the full plan now? How are we helping Rand?

Relle chops open the elevator so Gallador and Rand can hop through. I'm sure Katai will mimic them easily or do something else to avoid the falling lift. Relle will return to shooting at Katai to delay her from attacking or following, or throw him some of the severed cable to help pull him faster. Then we can reassess what the next step is once we make it to the top and get out of here.

Sounds good! So I just need to hear from Gallador and Rand what their manoeuvres will be as the lift falls.

Rand will try to jump through the lift as it falls, going from one side of the lift to the other. He does not attempt to go any higher, just straight across and timing it right.

Gallador will use the opportunity to make a mighty jump at lift's side and gain momentum to get higher, getting ahold of some cables if he does not make very top.

He will use his Lucky Merit, as the force is still with him.

We all need to get better at jumping around and flying ships. We're the most immobile group ever.

This wouldn't be so difficult if I still had points to spend on Master Leap.

Ok, well, Gallador fluffs his first roll but then aces the Lucky re-roll, so he is up and out!

Rand goes for a lower objective and makes it safely. As the lift lower section falls, Katai finds it easier just to duck back inside the lower area. She'll be back heading up soon though.

Rand can finally scramble up and all of you can get going on the upper level, which unlike the luxurious lower areas is in a plain functional grey throughout- lots of panels and doors and corridors. Rand is conspicuously a turn behind the others as he clambers out. Where are you guys going and what are you doing?

We want to go for Merik asap. Can we sense in which room he could be?

I wonder if there is any way to further delay Katai, she can just go through the walls if elevator passage is blocked?

Relle emerges, guns drawn, ready to eliminate any of Merik's final defenders.
