Once Rand gets a grasp on his situation, he tries to stabilize his descent, so that he isn't flailing helplessly the minute someone tries to save him. He flattens his body and stretches out his arms, pushing against the wind rushing up to meet him to slow his fall.

Well that's just detail really- it doesn't change anything.

Maybe Rand should grab into something?

I am open to suggestions.

If Rand directs himself toward the building there maybe a ledge/pole/something to grab unto?

He's going a tad fast for a ledge. It'll need to be relatively creative.

Is there anyway he could use the Force to bring a dangling cable/rope to him?

No no hover cars- you aren't in a proper traffic area.

Well no-one left a rope out, but feel free to consider dsngly things.

Maybe Rand could use the Force to pull a hose or piping or something from the underside of Xavier's ship? Or pivot the turret toward himself so he catches it?

You're way below Xavier's ship.

Then maybe something hanging off of a building coming up to meet me? Window-cleaner platform or a flagpole string...

Well there's only the one building and that's the giant casino tower. It;s probably flying robots that clean it (and no they aren't around).

Hmm... that rules out having anything close to me, then. Could I get Rand to fall parallel and try to slow myself with my lightsaber (like in Clone Wars) or will that just cut a huge gash in the building and do nothing for me?

That or a power cable Rand could yank free.

We could maybe do something with a cable...

Rand will try that. Seeing a power cable coming up below him, he reaches out with the Force to yank it free from the wall so that he can catch it on his way down and slow, then stop, his descent.

If it doesn't hold, he can use it to at least slow his fall and try the trick again further down the casino wall.

If Galder doesn't need to save Rand he'll probably make a pass on the guns below to take some heat off of Xavier.

Otherwise I'll get into position to get him while all the heat's on Xavier; that works too.

Well yeah, someone is still going to have to pick up Mr. Dangly!
