USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE VI (DARK SIDE)- Enemy

Which Galder is fine with. After Robine, he's had enough of civilization for a bit. Time to get back to his gritty, mercenary roots.

And so it is, back out into the black you call home...

It's pretty distant; a little further out than Epireus (though nothing like in the same direction). It's a long journey, but you are used to those- though normally not in quite so shaky a vessel. Sometime the ship groans uncomfortably. Your oxygen levels are lower than they should be, too- there must be a micro-fracture somewhere.

But eventually you zip out of hyperspace back into the real world- and it does not take the instinct of the Force to know you have found the right place. The great, white planet in front of you can certainly bear life. More than that, it has life, and is surrounded by life. There are ships all over the place in this system, tending to cluster around this planet. Some of them are making landfall. There is signals chatter all around; the signs of a major operation.

Signals from the planet too, mostly centred on one area. This is no small base though; there is major industry there. Like your own home, it is covered by an energy field.

Radiation levels from that sun seem a bit high. You wouldn't want to go down there uncovered; you'd get burned quickly.

Gallador has been meditating a lot during the journey and joined with Rand and Azarl to exercize the Harmony techniques that Ascar introduced them to.

During the journey, he asked Eller whether she thinks that he future really lies with Adelmo and whether she could perhaps help them in studying the linking techniques.

Now he gazed upon the mysterious world intently, wondering what secrets it covered and how can they survive against their powerful enemy who likely dwelled there.

Can we recognize any kinds of ships/groups being present here and do we have something we can use on surface to survive the radiation?

Galder frowns when he notices the high levels of radiation baking the big white orb. He remembers keenly the effects of radiation poisoning, and has no wish to give his body a reminder of what that felt like.

He's not surprised to find activity here. Kuylen always did have a preference for the grandiose. He, like Gallador, starts scanning the ships around the white planet to see if he recognizes them, or if they bear any insignia. He will try to tune into the comm chatter, to see if he can get a feel for what's going on.

Other than that, he pushes the rickety family wagon of a starship forward, and hopes that nobody tries to take a shot at them.

"Alright, let's see what's going on," Galder says to the others over the comm system. "Hang tight in case this gets messy fast. I'm not sure how well this thing will hold together if shot at."

Eller will only say that the Harmony will guide her future, and she is not there to teach you anything.

No insignia, no continuity in size or type. It's a mis-mash.

The radiation is not really that dangerous; like I say, the equivalent of sunburn if you exposed bare skin. But in any case, checking, you don't think it will be relevant. That energy shield has a particle blocker built in- the area covered by it will be clean. In fact, it would be clean if the radiation was 100 times stronger; seems overkill to you.

Hmm, should we just approach for landing, then?

Well, they definitely seem to have a civilized set-up there, so on approach you would be contacted.

Make sure we have our story straight people!

Ush can Xavier use Fix-It to create false merchant permits and registration for us?

Not on the spot I am afraid! You had tons of time back on Coruscant...

Okay, lets go down then and answer the comms.

Dang it I need to remember to do these things earlier!

Ush, but I believe that we were supposed to make Savoir-Faire rolls to help wit or cover, for example what kind of stuff could be reasonably traded in such places? And Gallador will talk with the security , he is the best liar in our group.

The SF roll results are a secret!

You can keep commodities simple. This is not a naturally human (or similar) inhabited world, so even food is possible. Likewise technical supplies, if they are maintaining heavy industry down there.

Okay we can do this guys. We are technical supplies merchants!

We can talk our way through. We don't need permits out here.

Galder will push the ship toward the planet, expecting a hail any moment.

"Gallador, you're on when they call," Galder says to his cloaked companion. "Lie us into the starport."

Since it was a long journey could those of us with fix it have looked for the micro-fracture?

Relle isn't expecting this to be the hard part, but she's not terribly thrilled when Galder points out that this ship could fall apart the instant it gets shot at. She keeps herself strapped in, just in case.

"Don't worry Galder, I was planning of taking care of it." Gallador meets Galder's gaze with confidence, not showing any deference to the group's most formidable warrior.

Rand quietly watches the approach, knowing Gallador will talk the group through this with ease as he usually does. He muses about the operation before them, wondering how long it has been going on here without anyone knowing.

"A shield generator and a particle blocker must use a great deal of power, especially of that magnitude," Rand says. "Whoever is running this show, Kuylen or otherwise, they're well-established here. I wonder if the radiation levels spike, considering the strength of that shield..."

"I figured," Galder says, curtly. While normally he is all for asserting his place as the strongest and most fit to lead in this group, his mind isn't on it and his heart isn't in it. Right now, all he wants to know is if Kuylen really is behind the attack, and if he is, why.

And then possibly kill him. Galder has learned much even after Kuylen's tutelage.
