USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE VI (DARK SIDE)- Enemy

Galder explains to Vic that Ogros has actually committed terrorist acts against the Dark Jedi and the base. He is someone that needs to be apprehended because he keeps causing problems, even if Vic doesn't care about the primitives.

"Besides, we count on Firak and his men for security," Galder says. "And they've got a problem with Ogros, meaning so do we."

The ventilation into the reactor room is too small for human access.

What makes you think we are a day earlier? Mind you I took my waking up with a migraine and Eller's ptter patter of stones next door to mean it was exactly de ja vu however I guess that could pretty much describe any morning in the base. Odd that everyone else was also in exactly the same place doing exactly the same thing though.

Either way it was the external sensors that let them to breach our security systems so that should be the first thing we shut down in my opinion. Then it was the route up the mountain that Rianna tried to take that was their route in (I think - correct me if I am wrong there) so perhaps we should be securing that?

Can we have a pre-emptive aerial attack on Ogros's forces (just flat out zapping the whole area) do you think as we know there is no way that can be peacefully resolved or even forcefully resolved without significant casualties?

The stones were actually described differently. Everyone else's situation was also described differently.

Aerial attack- nope. Can't find him in the jungle.

Ha that serves me right for skim reading hey! Ok maybe Edana should calm down a bit!

Dak opens the comm to Rand. "Rand, there's nothing here. Tell Edana she's wasted my time."

He'll check the ventilation controls anyway, since he's already in the depths of the base. Unless Rand can check them from the control room?

Well the machinery all looks ok to you, Dak.

Dak will head back up to the main levels, then.

We are a day early, aren't we. So if what Edana saw will happen it's not happening right now. Rianna going for reinforcements didn't help us last time. I think our group (Galder, Rianna, Gallador, Vic and Con) either should use Edana's knowledge to make a better strategy and overwhelm Ogros and the Droidekas. Or we should abandon Ogros altogether for now and perhaps get picked up with a ship and fly back to base to prepare there.

Ok, well, I think we have the starting setup!

A lot depends on how much information Edna received in her vision. I was encouraging people to call in throughout to maximise her info.

- She identified four attackers. She saw three and heard about the sniper. However, no-one informed her of the jetpack guy or the flamethrower man in the jungle.

- She knows there were droids attacking in the jungle but no-one called in to give anything more than the briefest description of what happened there

- She knows they have access to poison gas, a large bomb, smaller explosives and hacking know-how

- She knows from Rianna that they wiped your guarding Epireans first and from Vic that they were working with Ogros'.

You have one day to prepare- good luck. The largest piece of advice I can give you is a reminder that your opponents are NOT idiots. They can't afford to be- there are fewer of them than you and you guys are damn dangerous. Treat them like idiots and they'll win.

Related to the above- you are changing a future here. Changes cascade. Once things start to alter, the whole scenario shifts.

So basically what was relayed to Edana is what we now know is going to happen, unless we prepare for and change things first?

Well, Rianna's inclined to trust what Edana's saying she saw happen, and that if it is true and going to happen, that it's way more important than chasing down Ogros.

Those of us out here should probably retreat back towards the base.

1- Correct

2- This is entirely up to you guys. You can try and beat the Ogros ambush, or pull everyone back home

Much of how you handle this is up to you- there are many possibilities.

Well then, it seems the first order of business is to isolate the external sensors. If we already know they're coming in a day, then their intended use isn't really necessary.

Is there perhaps a way people with Fix-It can not only cut the sensors off from the rest of the systems, but set them up to fry anyone who tries to access them?

Second, the ventilation systems. They're not required to actually breathe while in the base, are they? Just for getting fresh air in, and tomorrow the air isn't going to be fresh. Disable them, or close them off between the lower base and the main section.

Third, I think we need to set up a guard at the main entrance. We know they'll place a sniper there, so let's head that off. Maybe pull in the Epireans in the destroyed settlements, so we'll save them and they can provide a defense force in return.

Fourth, the reactor seems pretty hard to reach without hacking, but there must be something we can do to make it even more difficult to reach.

Fifth, I think we do need to still deal with Ogros, for the sake of the long run. Leading a rebellion against us cannot go unpunished, if we want to keep our planet. We know they'll have droids, so maybe we can maximize our attacks to be anti-droid geared?

Personally I think that of all of the concerns we have right now, Ogros himself is the least of them.

Just how many entrances to the base are there? They got in somehow, after all, and somehow I'm doubting they just waltzed in through the main entrance unnoticed.

I do like the idea of pulling back the Epireans from the settlements on the mountain to the base entrance itself.

Rianna's going to have no choice but to go back and scout out those settlements and warn them now, isn't she? 😛 Since she is the fastest of us out here...

You know instead of going about tempering with our stuff which could alert them we could instead try and keep things as close as possible while setting a trap for them so we know exactly what they are gonna do?

Could we not use one of the ships to pick us up, make a stop at the Epirean village.

Personally I think we should not pursue Ogros. That probably won't stop us from facing Droidekas (or maybe even Ogros if they can bring his troops to us) but that would be a more favourable set up I think.

Perhaps we could fix some of the bases defense systems (though if they hack them might backfire)

I think we pretty thoroughly destroyed most of the defenses the base had when we took it. I remember at one point during that fight Ush commenting that the turrets resembled modern art sculptures after Rianna was done with them.

Where did the poison gas come from? Were there cannisters in the ventilation system or was it the air supply outside that was poisoned? In which case where is the outside air supply, that would be a prime place for us to keep surveilance at so that we can ambush them maybe?
