You are absolutely correct that Ogros is strongest in the jungle, and his combat value is drastically reduced at your base.He won't fight on your terms.
Unless, of course, we give him no other choice.
But that said, our base is on a mountain, one that I'm sure Ogros is familiar with. It'd be hard to kite him there and he not realize what is happening...
Does Ogros have villages of his own? Maybe we could carpet bomb his territory.

All of Ogros' physical holdings were destroyed years back.
So they have to come up the moutain to get into the base the way Rianna did yesterday. I say this is our best chance to take them out.
The problem is that we don't know exactly when they are going to arrive. I am assuming they are not here yet but then we have not contacted our guards on the outposts to check that they are still alive.
We need to set up some sort of warning signals that are not part of our normal base systems (which we will need to let them hack into). Comms will be down as they will be jamming it too so we need some other way to get signals to one another.
Those of us in the base will be responsible for ambushing them from the top but as they will have control of our security cameras I'm not sure how we might manage that without them knowing we are there.
Galder's group should make it appear that they are going to attack Ogros and indeed make all the arrangements as such to make it look convincing but then change their plans at the last minute and head back to the mountain to cut off our intruders from below.
Edit - by not here yet I mean not in the base /up the mountain yet as I agree that they would already need to be on planet by now.
Edit - Oh hang on but surely we would have detected a ship approaching. And therefore if we haven't, they must have already hacked our systems. Oh god now my real life head hurts. I'm so confused.
And they must have gotten all those droids on planet somehow - that requires a pretty big ship at that!
If we think they may have already hacked the base systems then surely the more reliable sensors would be those in one of our ships? Should we take a ship out for some recon rather than relying on the base systems?
(By we I obviously don't mean me of course as it would crash!)
Ok I am going to stop confusing myself now. They can't hack us until they past the guard posts so assuming they are still alive (i think it likely they are at this stage then we're fine for now).
So the Epirean guard posts and nearby settlements are the first barriers they will come up against. They need to be able to tell us when the intruders are here so we can move in with our force powers (not until that point or they will know we are there and switch their plans). I think we need to give them comm links or something to give us a warning (I am hoping they wont be jamming at that point as they wont be expecting them to have comms).
We then go with the attack from both sides approach. Those of us still at the base descend from above and those out in the jungle need to have brought the forces supposedly intended for Ogros back round and we crush them in the middle. knowing where to place the guys out in the jungle though so they can get back quick enough is hard.

So he's just a marauding nomadic jerkass. How nice...
I like GK's idea. Try the ambush plan again, but this time have a starship conveniently patrolling nearby to suddenly show up and blow his ass to hell and back.
The guys could then board the ship and quickly get back to the mountain, too.
Hell, the guy patrolling with the ship could take out the Sniper as well if he got a bead on him.
