besides having the same director and having similar humor and using similar "hip" "token" type of characters like have appeared in his other movies , and other "bay" style tidbits, yes you are right, this movie is totally different.
the pop culture stuff, the dancing and the comedy were all part of the old movies. You're wrong on all counts.
