Movie Hulk(Avengers) vs Movie Thor

^ Hulks not bigger than Spidey but his name is more well known than Thor's .

I think Marvel should consider adding Spidey to the next Avengers movie. That would bring even higher ticket sales.

All we know is that Hulk and Thor both hit the ground from around the same height and that Thor was shown up and around first.

Hulk didn't catch Loki off guard, since they were standing right in front of eachother, looking at one another, after moments earlier Hulk had just hit Loki across the room. If you and I are in a massive brawl, I charge and punch you in the face, you get up look at me and say "Enough, I love Thor too much to get manhandled like this", if I'm charging at you again, grabbing you and slamming your head against the wall, it doesn't mean I caught you off guard. It just means that you simply weren't good enough to stop me from doing so.

Loki being his brother and Thor not wanting to kill him isn't an excuse for Thor not replicating Hulk's performance. It's a retarded rationalization. If Thor would have had the ability to manhandle Loki as extremly as Hulk did, he would have - even moreso since, as you say, he didn't want to kill him. If I'm fighting my little brother, and I can manhandle him to the ground so that the fight stops quietly, I do so - I don't grab my hammer and start going into swinging contests. And if I had that much of a strength edge that Hulk had on Loki, the swinging contests would also be short, as I'd overpower him in moments - something that didn't happen in the Thor/Loki fights either. They were shown locking weapons. They were shown getting into brawls. Was Thor superior? Yes. But comparing it to Hulk, it's like a professional MMA fighter came to face one of the schoolyard bullies.

Shut up.

Good post.

thor can fly...
hulk started getting angry after the fall then eventually reverted himself to banner and had to steal a beat up motorcycle to drive across the country to get to new york to get back to the the avengers.
thor can fly.

When Thor started crushing Starks armor:

That says it all for me, on whether Thor holds back a lot in fights. If he has that kind of strength, he could have beaten Iron Man anytime he wanted to..

I'd say he was holding back against Iron Man, Hulk, and even Loki, and the only time we've seen him cut loose is against Asgardian Destroyer..

Thor was shown walking through a field right after hitting the ground, Banner was shown waking up in a crater, in fact he was out so long that the old guy had time to go and get him some pants.

Thor also ripped Iron-man's faceplate off rather easily after the Hulk saved Tony from that fall.

Post the clip where he reverts to Banner and then passes out.

Couldn't it just be he was free falling in a container and was getting tossed around and he just wanted out of it like any person in a situation like that would try and do?
You are really being unreasonable in order to make Thor look better.

Loki pretty much says the drop will kill Thor.

Thor doesn't disagree, he then tries to get out of the container before it hits the ground.

This is really cut and dry.

Then maybe it's not about falling from such a large height, but falling from such a large height in that container. I remember him bursting out of the thing with a lot of force right before it hit the ground.

Whether the event would have killed him was left up in the air but it definitely wouldn't have been any fun.

Yea, it was the container...come on.

No, Loki said something only the lines of, "they call us immortal, let's test that" Well, Thor survived the fall.

Don't know if Loki was right though. He was wrong about a lot of things in the movie.

mindset is right...stop trying to spin the scene in thors favor.

Exactly, Loki pretty much says the drop will kill him.

And Loki knows all, right?

Thor seemed to think so, hence his wanting to get out of the container.

You act like it's some great mystery, do you know what will probably kill other human beings?

Even if Loki did say that(he didn't), the drop didn't kill Thor.

He did.

Thor didn't hit the ground, he got out.
