If you and I are in a massive brawl, I charge and punch you in the face, you get up look at me and say "Enough, I love Thor too much to get manhandled like this", if I'm charging at you again, grabbing you and slamming your head against the wall, it doesn't mean I caught you off guard. It just means that you simply weren't good enough to stop me from doing so.
Not sure how what I said isn't based based on "reality". I didn't make anything up nor twist anything to serve my own purpose. Unless you're just trying to have some fun at my expense, in which case, okay. 👆
Loki being his brother and Thor not wanting to kill him isn't an excuse for Thor not replicating Hulk's performance. It's a retarded rationalization. If Thor would have had the ability to manhandle Loki as extremly as Hulk did, he would have - even moreso since, as you say, he didn't want to kill him. If I'm fighting my little brother, and I can manhandle him to the ground so that the fight stops quietly, I do so - I don't grab my hammer and start going into swinging contests. And if I had that much of a strength edge that Hulk had on Loki, the swinging contests would also be short, as I'd overpower him in moments - something that didn't happen in the Thor/Loki fights either. They were shown locking weapons. They were shown getting into brawls. Was Thor superior? Yes. But comparing it to Hulk, it's like a professional MMA fighter came to face one of the schoolyard bullies.

It doesn't have to make logical sense.Obviously, they were trying to portray him needing to escape the container to save his live.
Then maybe it's not about falling from such a large height, but falling from such a large height in that container. I remember him bursting out of the thing with a lot of force right before it hit the ground.
Whether the event would have killed him was left up in the air but it definitely wouldn't have been any fun.

Thor from movies =/= Thor from comicsThe only reason I can see for him going melee as he did was because he was on the Hellicarrier and/or he didn't want to kill Banner.
This.
Am I the only one that heard Thor say ( I am not your enemy Banner) ?
It's been stated over and over again in comics that Thor holds back for fear of KILLING his opponent. It's obvious Thor was holding back . People may wonder, how does Thor hold back ? By going only melee with someone like Hulk and not using any of his exotic powersets.

Or rolling in the money.
Unfortunately everything revolves around money. Like Superman (Hulk) is a house hold name. The kind of character most people would know about even if they're not comic book knowledgeable . It's obvious Marvel is using that to market bring in movie ticket sales.
No way Marvel would make their market goat lose or job to Thor.
