I honestly wouldn't have thought movie-verse Thor would resort to hand to hand. He liked to fight but he didn't f*ck around, he hit hard and fast with the most appropriate attack whether it was lightning or using Mjolnir as a spinning mini hurricane bat.

The only way I can rationalize him doing almost none of that is him not trying to kill Banner or whatever and being on the Hellicarrier.

I'm getting tired of Thor always being the rationale one. If Hulk can win in hand to hand, that's cool, let Thor cut loose, Hulk's head would make a good trophy on his wall.

Yea that was impressive.

Thor threw Mjolnir like an idiot in this movie though compared to his own most of the time. The spinning around it does is less effective than being just a battering ram that tears through everything.

He's definitely more skilled but he also seemed to be faster. IIRC, Hulk tried to hit him and missed a few times. Hulk was only able to hit him when Thor stood his ground and then tried to talk to Banner.

IIRC, he also outmaneuvered Hulk after he kneed him.

That's a fair point, to an extent (Speed at a point just trumps skill).

You still can't argue Hulk's faster, based on their fight the opposite is more likely.

His ability to jump and such gives him an explosive power that Thor can't match without Mjolnir though.

Thanos will make all the conversations about the lesser beings irrelevant when he shows up
