If Superman tanks Nolan will get a pass, Synder on the other hand... well just how many terrible movies that under perform at the box office will this guy be allowed to make exactly?
nolan shouldn't get a pass, though.
and snyder has had as many good as bad movies, imo. it'll be his influence, after all, that makes it in any way edgier or "realistic".

Although I personally liked Watchmen, you have to admit sitting through that movie in theatres would be painful; especially to people that have not read the novel.
And Nolan should not get a pass should Superman bomb. But exactly how would you make a JL movie where all the members are done justice?

... Have you actually seen his movies?

I never read the graphic novel. And never saw it in the cinema. There was no hype and I wasn't that interested.
A guy at work whose not a superhero geek (but knew I was) would always say to me "have you seen Watchmen yet, it's really good."
Then I one day happened to catch it on TV. I was really surprised how good it was! Bought in on Dvd the next day!

Watchmen was always going to be a tough sell, and not a tentpole property. Still, Snyder did have disappointment & failure right after that with Legend Of The Guardians and Sucker Punch. It's a challenge for him if he's not imitating something on the pages of a graphic novel or remaking something.

I was talking about Nolan, sorry. His influence, not Snyder's. Snyder is there to make cool action scenes, which he can do well, and that's why I have faith that any fight scenes are done well. I'm just worried that Nolan is going to pull what was rumoured and make Superman very nerfed just so he's more "relatable".
If people are waiting for a shared DC universe film where the Justice League get together, think again if Christopher Nolan is running things.
Here is some recent words from him I saw somewhere else (no link for it right now):
Nolan reiterated that you won't be seeing a Batman/Superman crossover in his movies. "Marvel are doing what they do and people will respond to that really well, or they won't," said Nolan. "It's not something I ever really applied a blanket rule to, but Marvel characters are very different to DC characters, and the key DC characters are very different to the minor DC characters. You've got to go back to that element of, 'What do I see when I close my eyes and think of Batman? What do I see when I close my eyes and think of Superman?' And for me a big part of that is their individuality. They are extraordinary beings in an ordinary world. And the reason I think the two are fascinating is because Superman is very specifically superpowered and obviously otherworldly; Batman is very human and flawed. They're two very different characters, but there's an elemental feeling of power in the iconography of those characters. To me that's originally because they stood alone. I need to hang on to that in my imagining of them."
I agree with him that Marvel are doing what they are, so doesn't mean DC should just copy.. (I think that;s what he's saying). And I can see his point about the DC characters working well in their own individual world.
I guess that's the way he sees it with his more believable approach. And he likes Batman (for instance) being the powerful one in his world, whilst having Supes around changes that.
But still I think they could do a JL movie series in and of it's own, independent of any individual movies they make.
Maybe Nolan's not they guy to construct a JL movie/universe.

But that's the way all the previous Marvel films were too; every property in it's own universe. Until Iron Man and the beginning of the shared Marvel Universe.
Either they create a shared universe or not. The third option - making a Justice League movie with totally different actors playing different versions of Batman & Superman, while those franchises go on their separate ways - they were going to do it once before with JL: Mortal, but thankfully the plug got pulled. I really don't think any fan wants to see that.
a JL movie is very possible. only issue i see is what kind of crazy threat could bring them together?
Green Lantern soloed a huge ass alien galaxy killing beast. if you were to put him in the avengers movie, he'd wtf kick the aliens ass all by himself
Superman lifted a huge ass island made of kryptonite all the while having a pice inside him not to mention all of the crazy shit he did. he'd again solo those alien's ass in the avengers movie
what they need to do is tone down their powers a bit and there you go. jl movie no problems.

Well Green Lantern & Superman easily equates with Thor & Hulk with their respective powers so I don't think that would be an issue, although toning down their powers (Lantern & Supes) would be ideal too.
To make a grander threat would be as easy as introducing multiple villains/enemies...whilst Earth is being threatened by possibly sentient beings both The Joker & Lex could see their own opportunities to run amok.
