it is another great stuff, but not come on it's merit , . It is a onetime movie to watch , the scene are good.
Nah, I'd say it's more than that. *Great* worldbuilding, and the protagonist is atypical for a space opera.
A number of my female friends really love it, and I've seen it twice. I plan on getting the DVD too.
Jupiter Ascending did number 1 internationally last weekend, thanks to a strong Chinese opening. Not Pacific Rim numbers (which would be needed to save it), but some salve.

Well that's good.If it can get close to doing similar numbers in Japan maybe that'll make it look a little more respectable.
Not enough to make a profit, but lessen the blow at least, yea.
I'm still sad that it looks like we won't get to see the series continued. The budget was a little ridiculous.
Indeed. It's not one of those movies that could really be done on a small budget, but 'secret princess space opera' was perhaps not quite something with a big enough existing audience for a 175mil tentpole!
I'm glad it happened, but we're not likely to see another similar one for awhile.

Lowering the budget probably would have improved the movie, honestly. (That's almost always the case, imo.) $176 million is insane. Such an enormous budget doomed it from the start. It looked great, but if they really wanted to continue the story, $80-$100 million would have probably given it a much better chance. Probably the only reason they were given such a large budget was because of their Matrix success. But shit, considering how unappreciated the Matrix sequels were, advertising it as "from the creators of the Matrix Trilogy" probably did more harm than good.

Yea. 175mil$ budgets are a very, very hard thing to make back, and most of the time really should be reserved for known properties.
I mean, we saw where the budget went on this one, it *looked* 175 mil, and I'm glad we got it looking that cool, but it gave a steep climb.
Ok, look at where a lot of the budget came from.
Wow. So many helicopters!
