If that was their plan all along, then they are evil geniuses. Providing a less than satisfactory ending to sell millions of DLC's providing a better ending? They could seriously sell that for 5 dollars tops, and they would make millions.
Though its either evil geniuses or total ***holes. Probably a bit of both.

I don't get the uproar over it. Sure, I would have really liked a better ending, than what they gave us. But with how amazing the series had been, I dont care. Though it does make me sad, I can forgive it. Bioware has great writers for the most part, and I like their games.
The anger wasn't just because the ending was pulled out of their asses it's because they've said numerous times that your choices would be huge. And there are times when it's true but then the ending just negated all of it.

Huh, I hadn't heard anything about an Ending DLC.
We probably should, but whats the point? The thread was done a while ago when the debating stopped.
I had preordered DA2, because I absolutely LOVED DAO (I still play it, but mod it to all hell for extra funz) and after an hour and a half of waiting for it to get better, I wondered what the hell they did to it. It was just.... bad. Combat was dumbed down, and was far to much of a hack em up than Dragon Age deserves. Oh, guy is standing there? HACK EM UP! Thing is sitting there? HACK IT UP!
And there is a HUGE list of problems I could go on about, but that would take a LOT of time. If they listened to the fans of Dragon Age (which Bioware isnt bad about, they are not the BEST, but they do listen usually) then DA3 will be like DAO, probably the writes of DAO will get another shot at writing. Especially Alistair, Leliana, Shale, and Sten's writers. The others I never cared enough for, because they were useless outside of healing (Wynn) and the others I just didn't like. But I didn't like them beacuse of the personalities, not a lack of character. Unlike some other games that are going around now >.>
Yeah. All the bad reviews that DA2 got hopefully will spur them into better things. Granted, it was mostly an outcry from the PC community, but Bioware is one of the few studios that care about us.
Though if they get the DA2 design team to do it, then I am not sure. I separate the DAO and DA2 teams in my head, even if they were the same people. I don't believe the geniuses behind DAO made that piece of crap. I just won't.
