In another proof of Bauer's superior durability to McClane, in LFODH, McClane was shot in the torso and fell to the ground immediately. He was only able to shoot Gabriel because Gabriel, like a dumbass, decided to carry him.
Bauer received a gunshot to roughly the same area and two knife wounds to the abdomen, and was still able to tackle a Delta Force soldier to the ground while tied up and then walk away from the scene

And of course, the face that Bauer rips out people's throats with his teeth 🙂

Gunfight Bauer has shown pinpoint precision in his shots, to where he can shoot the guns out of peoples hands, shoot the locks off doors (while wearing a heavy mask), and even shoot down assault helicopters. And not that pussy "shoot-the-wire" stuff either....Alright fine, that shot McClane made was impressive, but still, doesn't change the main point. Bauer and McClane are about equal in accuracy and given that Bauer is a former black ops soldier, I believe he has the edge

Melee Just look at LFoDH, when he tries to employ melee against Mai Lihn and gets near-instantly disarmed. McClane is only good in melee if his opponent is distracted. Bauer on the other hand has genuine melee feats of using everything in his vicinity from chains, to axes, to screwdrivers, to syringes, to backhoes, to his opponents tie, to even biting. Given how easily McClane got disarmed, I'm certain Bauer would maul him, and given that McClane doesn't get to retaliate with a vehicle after getting BFRed, I'm not seeing him win this

Hes not bad ass enough to get a movie series. Wouldn't sell like McClane dies, due to the proven quality McClanic badassery.

McClane fell to the floor after shooting himself at the end of a long day of defeating crooks, hired mercs, military, helicopters, police cars, helicopters, F-35s and saving America. Relaxing when the job was done... Bauer to a 20 month sabbatical in the middle of threats cause he was a comparative pussy.

Some surpass it. IE: The last two kills he made in DH1.... Shooting a small junction box with a standard .38 in DH3, then causing the wires its supported to down a chopper full of bad guys..

Umm...no. His mistake was in not shooting McClane. He was in a completely advantageous potion and didn't take it out of pure PIS.

Well, I can see Jack clearing Nakatomi. I can see him clearing Dulles. NY city? Same. DH4, I can't see that being a problem for Bauer either.

Jack is massively reliant on CTU for near constant support in doing 'his thing'. McClane virtually solos, in his shenanigans. And if he was in 24, and had the amount of help that Jack got: Not onbly would all terrorists be dead, but he probably would have cured AIDS and poverty by now... 😛 He is way more durable (bordering on the superhuman in that respect), inventive, is "born with a four leaf clover up his ass". Also when he is captured for any reason, he is free within minutes and those doing the capturing are dead.
Bauer without CTU, for once, was captured for 20 months. During which he died cause of some accidentally killing him due his dodgy ticker.
In the much-tougher DH verse, a mere tiny chihuahua was able to absorb the charge and got away with a limp for week.
