DC's Shared universe will start with...

Those are the reasons but the DC universe will be delayed as what many fans have been complaining about. By the time Flash or WW gets a movie, Marvel maybe into there 3rd phase. And the fact that it has other movies to fallback on is one of the reasons why failure will lead to cancellation of other projects. DC properties is just one of their libraries of properties that they can chose to act on. Marvel takes the approach of this is our property and we have to make it work. Disney by this point is a distributor and financier only. Hopefully, Disney doesn't get in the way of Marvel like WB is hindering DC.
Well to be fair Marvel didn't exactly go full blown they also waited to see how IM did before they started to get really ambitious.

Of course it's not even close to the same as what WB is doing which sucks.

Still we'll see hopefully MoS does really good at the Box Office and is a great movie and then JL will be greenlit on the spot.

Really tiny point, but I hope they don't call it "Justice League of America". I'd much rather it be "Justice League" - I've always felt like they should be a global taskforce even if they operate in America most (due to the high number of villains there).
Yeah I don't think they will name it JLA. They haven't done it with any other their other non-comic book mediums.

Like Young Justice, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited.

I don't know. I mean the scene was already there after the credits for IM and IH to point towards the Avengers movie.

So I'm guessing even if IM was a mediocre hit they were going to go for it.

The fact that it was such a huge hit though just green lit the project immediately.

It will be similar with MOS in the sense that the plan is there. The bigger hit MOS is the more enthusiasm there will be for JL.

And if you think about it GL was supposed to start the whole JL movie, and the sequel was already planned as was the lead up to JL.. The only thing that stopped it was that GL flopped hard.

If IM flopped that badly I'm sure the Avengers would have been put on hold too.

I read an article somehwere, and you may not want to quote me on this where it was said they threw the bit at the end at the last second.

They still planned waiting to see if IM did well enough and the fans were receptive enough to keep going.

I know they put the scene in IH last minute after the success of IM. But not sure about the scene in IM. I know they were talking about it all leading up to Avengers prior to IM.

Anyway MOS has the opportunity to do the same thing. So fingers crossed.

They were talking about I just don't know how much.

I agree I hope MoS rocks.

Agreed. In all honesty i'd be surprised if that's the reason Johns gave the current book that title.

Someone asked me what I'd do for casting if I was in charge of Justice League. Also, I couldn't use Bale for Batman.

Superman - Henry Cavill
Wonder Woman - Bridget Regan
Batman - Michael C. Hall
Aquaman - Jensen Ackles
Martian Manhunter - Dennis Haysbert or Lance Reddick
Flash - Bradley Cooper (as Wally West) or Matt Damon (Barry Allen)
Green Lantern - Ryan Reynolds (Hal), either Josh Hartnett or Milo Ventimiglia (Kyle Rayner) - if it was the group, then Idris Elba (John Stewart) and Ben McKenzie (Guy Gardner)

Someone needs to do a kickass Aquaman movie, just to shut up everyone

since he has this image where he's supposedly useless.

No movie can contain awesomeness of that magnitude.

I'm glad it passed the fanboy challenge.

Eckles has enough range imo, and could easily play someone with as much rage and at the same time vulnerability as Arthur.

He'd own that role, and steal every scene was in.

I'm confused. Is there a reason why Aquaman's getup is green and orange? It doesn't scream sea/ocean to me. His costume is atrocious. Aquaman 1 Million had an great costume, however.

In one of his origins, the orange and green was a prison uniform worn by Atlantean political prisoners. So when Arthur got captured from the surface world by the Atlanteans and put in prison so he wouldn't take the throne, he led an uprising and you can guess the rest.

He wears the uniform because it became a symbol of Atlantean freedom.

Fantastic...

You know what, I'm glad.

Will Beall's Ganster Squad was good, entertaining - but shallow. No character development at all. If he was going to bring in the same to JL, then I can't say I'm upset.

I know Pr is going to flip his shit, but I think the Goyer/Nolan/Nolan team works - and works well. If they (WB) can convince them to handle their entire Justice League movies I'd be happy.

I think the man of steel team would be better. I'm still very wary about Goyer as a writer, but Nolan can make sure we get a quality production, while a director like Snyder can make sure we get quality, OTT action.

I don't think Nolan should direct, tbh.

As right as he might be, Millar's a media whore, so I tend to ignore most of what he says.

I don't really understand your hate for Goyer - especially when around the Nolans. I'm currently reading Batman Begins the script and it's genius. Honest to god, I think Batman Begins is a much tighter script than J. Nolan's other two. Maybe he doesn't work as well solo (Ghost Rider should be proof) but he strikes gold when the Nolan's exert just a little influence.
