The cost of advertising is usually balanced off by merchandise sold.

If there are figurines i doubt they would be aimed at young kids but then again take a look at what was aimed at kids back in the 80's....Robocop, Rambo & Toxic Avenger.

Pretty sure those ones came out in the 90's

and yeah those were good i liked how it came with a a min comic, I only ended up getting the Scorpion Alien and the Queen Face Hugger.

Dang, I wish I could buy those things now. I bet they'd sell pretty well if they re-released them.

But on another note: yeah, definitely go see Dredd. I'm even considering going again (it's only $2). Then again I might just save that $2 for the blu-ray..

Hahaha... most of those look awful. I'm interested in the classic Alien design. Not that James Cameron BS.. heh.

I would say better than the first...but at best an average action movie... Better off watching the raid... same plot but with much better action...

Watched 'At The Movies' show last night

Margaret pomeranz gave it 3 and half

Dave gave it 1 & half.

Saw it tonight. It rocked. Girlfriend loved it too.

3.5 sounds about right. I tend to agree with Margaret.

Yeah, f*ckin' bummer about this flopping financially. 🙁

It still hasn't opened everywhere, though. Maybe Germany and Japan can save it.

Yeah unfortunately here in Australia, sessions were cut down to 3 a day after the 1st week of opening.

would think they would save it since Karl Urban is also from there.

It wouldn't matter if it made lots of money there. The stipulation is that it had to make 50 mil in North America alone. I guess they already predicted the world wide sales.

The same box-office stipulation was made for John Carter getting a sequel.

idk. North American sales mean a lot to producers though, for whatever reason.
