He was going to die but he was not weakened. His body was not able to handle the energies for a long period of time and he was going to die because of it.

Which Galactus ? His power wildly fluctuates , and almost anyone can give a starving Galactus a fight .

Now the Galactus that fought the Mad Celestials on the other hand.....he would blink and the World-Breaker would be reduced to green goo , owned by the World-Devourer .
