I think Bendis is happy he got to kill Hank Pym, even if it will be undid by the end of the event.

of course he is. after all, he hates Pym and his fans, and wishes the character had never been invented. he just doesn't mind using ultron whenever it suits him.

I freaking hate when writers use their comics to do petty things like kill characters they personally dislike or break up marriages they don't agree with.

At least Bendis no longer has a rein over the Avengers, now Pym can actually have the place he rightfully deserves among the mightiest.

I'm not sure how Avengers A.I will pan out, but the concept behind a Pym led Avengers team with a bunch of robots, androids, and cyborgs sounds pretty cool.

Cyclops and Emma were a bad choice on the part of the editorial. Much worse than Scott and Jean or Tchalla and Ororo.

Oh hell no.

Oh hell yeah!

Warned for not using a Kool-Aid gif.

Always.

That said, I don't have to be mad to ban you.

So what happened in Ultron War? I need the Reader's Digest version, and don't care about spoilers.

Any takers?

Well...

Ultron killed everyone off panel and some in different tie ins from other books leaving some street levelers Bendis like and a few others alive. Luke Cage and Shehulk gather information about Ultron and figure out he's ruling the world from the future. Both get killed like chumps, but Cage manages to pass on the time-displaced rule information. A team of Cap and a few others decide to go into the future to attack Ultron while Wolverine figures that as things are, going into the past and killing Pym will just do everything better. The team that goes to the future is killed as if it was a second thought. Wolverine convinces Sue Storm to let him kill poor past-Pym who doesn't understand who Wolverine even is. He kills him and then Wolverine and Sue time jump into the new future.

That's the story in a nutshell.

I'm surprised Bendis isn't trying to completely retcon Pym out of existence.

lol, damn. So, like, a LOT of stories just got the time-boot from continuity, eh? I assume it will be folded oddly into the universe in a mostly "writer ignores it" sort of way...reconciling the space stuff (Phalanx, etc.) alone would be nightmarish.

So back to normal again, minus Pym?

{edit} just scrolled up. I see there's still time to retcon the retcon. Should be interesting.

P.S. Whose time-travel tech? Doom? Kang? Marvel Boy? Strange? Or did Tony step up?

Well, Wolverine used the Doom time machine -for whatever reason Noh-varr confiscated his? No idea why they ended up with Doom's platform, guess Bendis forgot about his own story!-. But apparently Kang will be making an incursion during one of the tie ins. They'll very likely retcon the retcon since we know Pym will be alive after the event by solicits.

Also in one of the tie-ins we find out Wolverine is responsible for making the Brood we see today.

Overall, this event is so lackluster I dont care much for it
