(Dynasty of Evil) Darth Bane -vs- Darth Sidious (Dark Empire)

Started by Darth_Sexier8 pages

I need to review Bane's ROT/LDOE feats but the idea of actually going page to page nauseates me.

I just want to point out that the quote posted a few pages ago about Sidious supposedly using Force Storm to teleport himself across the galaxy on his death in no way mentions Force Storm itself. The rending of space could just as easily refer to the Fold Space technique.

As I'm pretty sure the member who posted that quote knew already. Because I told him. 😐

😬

Book of Sith
The churning energy mass of a Force Storm can consume everything it touches, for at its eye is pure hate. Just as a black hole devours a star, this storm can swallow armies and fold space.

😐

They aren't the same technique if that's what you're suggesting.

I'm suggesting that Palpatine is known to have utilized the Force storm technique, which in turn is apparently known to fold space and transport objects and people across space.

Kolar and Tiin can each block dozens of blaster bolts but could not react to Palpatine at all. Stop using Bane's rainstorm feat as a way of saying he can't be touched. Bane has never employed the kind of speed that Sidious has in an actual duel.

Yeh he has he moves as if time stopped against sirak and attacked him over ten times before he could react and grow much more powerful throughout the trilogy.

Sirak, you're seriously using the Sirak battle? The duel took place in the Academy, the onlookers are Academy students, hardly the most reliable of judges on speed and Sirak himself was nothing more than an impressive student, albeit only that - a student.

he is no match for Bane in sabers.

The few jedi that Sidious killed in his office (3 of the best, and Windu had him beat) do not hold a candle to the maelstrom that is Bane. The rain feat alone means that Sidious is never going to touch him. Combine that with Bane's mastery of the 7 forms, his extreme physical strength, and wonderful swordsmanship, Sidious can't win. He can try, but "Do, or do not. No try"

Reread the OP, Sidious apparently can not use his uber Storm OR the wormhole. Both are explicitly mentioned along with, "Can not"

Wormhole says, "Without exposing himself to much risk" but thats a moot point, because "much risk" is death at this caliber.

Word.

Also, I don't see Sidious getting a Storm attack in, before Bane introduces his lightsaber to Sidious's anatomy.

Alrighty - just to finish things up before creating other Threads, I'll have to delcare the winner here.

Winner: Darth Bane 😎

Bane is more deadly one-on-one than even the most powerful incarnation of Sidious - and after killing Sidious, Bane could easily backtrack to where Palpatine gained some of his esoteric Sith abilities, and Bane too, could learn and utilise Force Storm.

So by matter of ascension - Darth Bane, is, Truly the most powerful organic Sith Lord in existence.

Nuh-uh, Sidious is sub-light speed. Suck it fanboy.

😆

I think you just Ninja'd Gid. 😉

Well, that is true... 😉

He was just joking. 😉

Le stats don't lie. Bane wins. 😎

Hahaha.... no.

So he is FTL?

Yes. He can open wormholes and teleport himself around despite never doing that once.

Cool. Cool cool cool.

😆

Add to the fact he can't do it quickly in battle (if at all) anyway, so those abilities are moot.

All I know is that despite whatever certain guides lay out in the way of Sid's powers, by examination of feats as they are illustrated within the entirety of the Star Wars universe there are one or two OR Sith who could have handled him and Bane is in that tally.
