More to do with how good it was
i know some folks on this forum had issues with it for whatever reasons, But i enjoyed it for what it was
another event that i had problem with was Secret Invasion, Started off good but then halfway if you weren't reading the Avengers books around at the time it was confusing.

Yeah, I feel like a lot of their events start off with a lot of potential and then fail halfway in. Like you mentioned, Fear Itself and Secret Invasion.

Why does everything seem to revolve around you?when i said "people attack Marvel for doing too many events"...it wasn't aimed at you.
Obviously we'll assume you're referring to us when you say something like that.

Honestly the last major events I liked from either side were... lesse, Final Crisis on DC, Second Coming for Marvel.I really like Marvel's follow-ups to events, though. AvX was weak, but the new status quo it made was interesting and I like where the X-books have gone with it.
Wood's x-men has been servicable I guess.
Still can't believe how strong the x-men started out in the 00s and then somehow ended up here.

...schism?
I skipped that one, so no comment there.

Right now I'm digging 'revolutionary Cyclops' and the O5.
I think the arc that ran from Endangered Species all the way to Second Coming (or arguably, up to but not including AvX) was an amazingly consistent period, you don't get a lot of solid story arcs in comics that last that long!

It seems like Marvel have poor events that lead to good follow-up.

Yea, good example, that was definitely handled well.
Also, Civil War? Civil war itself sucked, but I *loved* the pro/anti reg books. Initiative, the Order, etc..
It might be because of how they do things- They have writer's meetings, get the writers together, and say, "Ok, we need you to get your characters from here, to here at the start of the next event." And then they learn from each other what everyone's doing, which probably helps all of them plan better. But the events themselves are ultimately planned in advance, and largely just one writer.
Marvel Launching New Weekly Series, WOLVERINES
Who will take up the mantle of Wolverine in the aftermath of Logan's death? It looks like a new weekly series will eventually provide the answer, as Charles Soule and Ray Fawkes plan to bring together some of Logan's closet friends (and enemies) in Wolverines..
