If I lost both legs, made sure I mentioned it, then got prosthetic legs is more in line with the story.

no your analogy is wrong because prosthetic legs dont make you stronger nor is it an improvement from normal legs.

aizens fusion with the hyogoku was improvement he got stronger from it

aizens choice to not use kyoka is nothing short of pis

Hogyoku gave Aizen the ability to evolve to his desire. He has no limit technically. >.>

He stated that he EVOLVED passed the need and power of a zanpakto. Meaning that his power was beyond that which he was. They had fused with their swords and then beyond the combination of the two.

Aizen clearly states that he was just then evolving to become one with his sword. This means it was only an extension of his right arm before, which is why Ichigo said he couldn't feel anything from it's soul.

Besides, it doesn't matter. The sharingan has shown the ability to break out of illusions far stronger than Aizen's, and Madara is the strongest of the Uchiha.

Except Aizen was wrong, he was in actuality losing his powers.

You just reiterated what I just said. Since you've clearly misunderstood, I'll break it down for you.

Aizen assumed he was reaching the level Ichigo was at, and thought he would in fact reach an even higher one. Proven by him saying Ichigo became one with his zanpaktou, and now he would be the same. This proves WITHOUT A DOUBT that he was NOT at the same evolution as Ichigo, and NOT one with his zanpaktou. What this proves, is that the sword coming from Aizen's hand was NOT Kyoka Suigetsu. Just a random blade, probably made from the same material as his chrysalis shell.

This means he could NOT use Kyoka's abilities, including shikai. 👆
