Batman and Robin's Bane was retarded, but Nolan's version wasn't good either. It was better, but not really good. Hardy looked like he failed a cycle and sounded like a Russian doing a Sean Connery impression. He was not Bane.

When all is said and done I prefer fighters in action movies and actors in dramas. It's very hit and miss when a thespian tries to do action, especially martial arts. That's all a moot point though, because Scarlett is no thespian. They might as well have had the stuntwoman do the whole role and saved themselves a few million.

Depends on the action film. If it's some cheesy popcorn film, like War, sure, but if it's a serious action film, like Terminator, I'm going to need serious actors who can properly portray the emotions of the characters in the scene
